DWT was the last genuine live broadcast we got. After that things were either never released, horribly edited, re-recorded, or there were mastering errors … you name it. I am cautiously optimistic that the Rio broadcast will not be such an edit of hell like most of her post 2001 home releases.

The Japanese vinyls were the best. Amazing quality. I miss those kind of standards.

Either way, it was a loss for her fans.

Also because the late and very generous Caresse Henry was in charge of that project. She was fired after RIT and well the rest is history.

BAT Celebration MDNAT (hate the album but the show was spectacular) Confessions, Girlie, MXT are good too but not quite there in the same league as the aforementioned three.

Without the errors and if it was in chronological order I would definitely say Celebration. For sheer perfection though STR has to be singled out.

I always assumed the LS video was shot much later even after LAV. Didn’t she say in one of the interviews that LAV was good to go but suddenly the first album was gaining momentum so WB decided to properly release LS.

Not a fan of the vocals but I am happy she is mixing it up with different songs. Rain is still my favorite in that spot, though.

That’s what a collector would say who is afraid that all the unreleased demos, alternative mixes and unreleased songs might see the day of light for such unworthy peasants like most of us.

Thank you. It just goes to show how beaten Madonna fans have become. When the same thing happened in 2001 and GHV2 was released, most fans went nuts and were genuinely angry because a) there was no new song on it and b) all of the songs and edits had already existed one way or the other and people made their own GHV2 copies before it officially even dropped. Cut to now and fans are calling FEL the new messiah. I don’t mind it. It was a fun release. Could have been better mastered but overall enjoyable. However, the second coming this was not. If the “curated deluxe reissues” are going to be on par with FEL and all of the digital single rereleases then they can keep them, not that we are getting anything in the foreseeable future anyways. My two cents.

At one point CAC was considered to be included on TIC instead of Cherish. She went with the more current song back then I guess.

You are thinking correctly. The worst offender so far has been the Erotica Picture Vinyl. An audiophile remaster this is not.

My jacket was shipped from The Netherlands according to the shipping label, so within the EU.

Mine wasn’t folded in form a ball but I guess I would have expected it to be sent in a proper parcel with better protection and not just in a mylar bag. Plus it stank from nicotine. But putting it on a coat hanger outside over night made it look and smell just like new, so be it. Hopefully we all have received our jackets by now.

In a mess? Was it torn? Hopefully the jacket survived the trip.
