  1. Gotta admit I like shaved Lola much much better. She looks like she could have been a great addition to the Music video back in 2000.
  2. Frozen and Take A Bow are nice winter music. And when Frozen has completed its Tik Tok circle, I think she should definitely try the same with Material Girl. I can think of many basic bitches who will want to use a mix of that tune for their videos of showing off.
  3. On the US Pop iTunes Chart, not the general one. Right now it's at #12!
  4. Can't wait to see what new atrocities she'll come up with on the new app to annoy her fans after she's started off so elegantly
  5. Can I do a Madame X vocal one? - 'É É É É'. I swear the woman can create magical melodies using only one vowel. - 'A bizarre thing that happens to beee'. Absolutely surreal moment. My favorite part of God Control which reminds me of Impressive Instant, like I'm in space or something. - The bridge of Future using Don't Tell Me lyrics is absolutely magnetic. Just the right amount of vocoder or whatever it's called - 'I like to be on top. AAAH'. - Her raspy 'my God look at me now' on Crazy. Also the beginning of the song. - Finally ending the album with that robotic voice and there's a faint little chant 'I will rise, I will rise' with her normal beautiful voice and it sounds so pretty.
  6. I enjoyed what she said about not doing a Greatest Hits Tour and making a billion dollars out of it. Hopefully we'll never hear fans dying for one unless it actually happens much later in the future. I'm really happy to see her devotion to the Madame X era. I think after Ray of Light, it's her first authentic one. The others were just different producers and fancy costumes. Also her admiring of the message, not the messenger, is something important to be said. As an artist she gets easily ignored because she is considered too old or unnecessarily controversial that people don't bother to hear what she has to say. As for the cancel culture thing, that is something I constantly fear for all artists I stan. Certainly not Madonna though. She's been dragged to hell and back so many times, what's there to fear now?
  7. It does make sense to me and I feel like it has to do with the way an album is promoted. You take MDNA for example, a dark divorce record, with heartbreaking songs like Love Spent, Masterpiece, Falling Free and angry songs like Gang Bang, I Don't Give A, Some Girls. You lead it with GMAYL, GGW and TUTR. Suddenly it's a dismissable EDM record like anything on the radio. To a casual listener it's just Madonna wanting to dance. American Life was stripped down but it wasn't too radical apart from the title song and a couple others. Suddenly it's a political record. Madame X I think is a happier album than both Rebel Heart and MDNA because Madonna was happier making that one and it showed. She was happier in her life. Not a follower, not an illuminati dance zombie. And a fan who will listen carefully and won't dismiss her latest records, will notice that progression.
  8. That's always been a recurring thought around here but everytime I try to think about it, it seems a bit wrong to me. COADF for example isn't a light-hearted album. The first part is lighter, then again it has Sorry and don't get me started on the second part, which is heavier. Like A Prayer was followed by Erotica, you can call them dark and deep oftentimes, followed by what? Bedtime Stories? Not exactly joyous and pumpy. Music which came after the dark ROL has a few dance tracks sure but 5/10 songs are depressive. I understand what you mean, it's more about the dance quality and perhaps the way a record is promoted but M rarely puts out something full on joyous and lighthearted. Rebel Heart was a dark record for me, production wise, followed by Madame X which ain't much different haha.
  9. I wouldn't wanna ruin her perfect roll of True Blue- Like A Prayer- Erotica so I don't take I'm Breathless into consideration. I mean, for some mediocre artists with counted hits of course it would matter much in their discography- as a studio album- but with Madonna we can just afford to place it in some other category. A studio album must be reflective of an artist's life.
  10. I love how committed she has been to this era and its looks. All her last albums have been about her (Rebel Heart, MDNA, Hard Candy) but she really stuck with the Madame X persona.
  11. I would die to finally hear an orchestral version of Messiah and also of Wash all over me. Live to tell would be blown out of the water. These two tracks along with Rebel Heart suffered the most from their production I think. Oh and I need M singing Autotune baby on Instagram for some real promotion.
  12. That or she doesn't really understand what can be popular these days, that's why some of her best songs become obscure tracks at the end of the album and never singles. I was so surprised with Medellin, I'm sure she'd never release it without the support and power of Maluma. And if I hadn't been a fan, I'd only think of her as a dance pop icon goddess who also sang an Isla Bonita and a Frozen lol Songs like Drowned World and Bad Girl could be sung today by Billie Eillish and Olivia Rodrigo and turn into huge hits and Madonna should realize that
  13. I adore this image. I could imagine her in a video like this singing something in the likes of Love Don't Live Here Anymore
  14. I mean I made out on a nudist beach last year, which is a very Madonna thing to do. And this year I was just waiting and anticipating for a jerk to text so again a very Madonna thing to do.
  15. I try to picture myself a few decades from now, when I find out that Madonna has passed. I don't think I would care much about a final record from her. But I would like some final words. It could be a poem or a recorded speech dragging every hater to hell or a cute little song. Something to cry along. I hope and I'm afraid she'll be too old to provide full vocals for an album by then.
  16. It's good to see how people perceive M's records, not for themselves, but for the whole fanbase. Thought it'd be a silly topic at first but couldn't delete it lol. For me Confessions is not the fan favourite because I didn't think about the casual fans who might not know her discography very well. Thank you for your answers people!
  17. Didn't also Fiona Apple mention his name as part of a joke? He had sampled one of her songs without giving her credit and she was asking for her money. It also left some people confused. Seems like music's great aunties love to tease the cute little guy. Too bad humour died some time before they did.
  18. Oh dear, hope she won't turn it into a selfie point like her bathroom, only to give us heart attacks every time.
  19. Damn people must have been so bored back then to make a huge deal out of that performance. Little did they know she was only getting started, poor them. I lowkey need her to do a third shocking performance of the song on an awards show and have moms shut the TV again and fans pulling out their hair.
  20. So I found this meme by an Instagram account while scrolling (@great.missy) and I found it absolutely true. Which M record would you place under each category and how does it apply to other faves of yours? For me the popular is Like A Virgin, the fan favourite Like A Prayer, the experimental one American Life, the cult classic probably I'm Breathless, the best of all time being Ray of Light and the meh one for me is Hard Candy.
  21. I feel like Medellin has been a most devisive song. And the charm of it is that it's such a harmless track. Yet it caused so many meltdowns, mine included. It's such a suitable and mature single though and many fans enjoyed it. Songs like Human Nature and Girl Gone Wild, on the other hand, somehow beg to be hated. They are naughty tracks, horny tracks. Not all fans are that.
  22. Love Miley but after turning a Black Mirror into a Hannah Montana episode, I wouldn't want her working on the biopic. And she has her own reputation as a musician, her image would clash with M's, especially among the young audience who knows Miley more than they do Madonna.
  23. Aren't lawyers supposed to say that to anything before they discuss with the client? Plus I don't even think she hired her own lawyer, she said she wasn't allowed to. I hope they work for her best interest.
  24. Although I'm not completely in love with her hard voice on those Madonna tracks, I think Miley is the closest pop girl to M we can get in terms of being bad ass and magnetic.
