  1. I'd... be here for a collab with her! Talk about an actually good thing from TikTok.
  2. But... it's just two lines shy from being completely devoid of Madonna? Is this really what we want? Madonna just being a ghostly figure that has to remove herself from her work almost completely in order to be remotely cool? A yassified android version of her young self that never really existed? This is the essence of this trend-hopping remix, summarized in one picture. You don't have to lecture me like some boomer, I'm probably younger than most here, and technologically proficient enough to hear it before most.
  3. The new vocals are fine, very good even, but I simply won't and never will love the Sickick remix. It's simply undeniably bad, and represents the absolute low of Madonna's career, in what's surely one of her most desperate moves in ages. Probably smart in a commercial sense, but just as Oseary and his NFTs, it simply shows she's now Ronald McDonald more than a musician.
  4. Anyone hoping for "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" in March?
  5. I'm still beyond happy when we get these mixes online, especially when there's promo mixes and stuff that's been on two or three different discs. It's made me reconsider purchasing a lot of the singles, since they're now so easily accessed and also backed up on my hard drive. It just makes it a lot more perfectly organized, one meta-release per single. There's been omissions in the early days, but still, I'm very happy. Now, could they do this once per month? Absolutely, but there's not too many left, once you think about it. I'd also be cool with leaving them off the deluxe editions, there's probably a lot of demos and alternate takes which would be more valuable to take up space than 10 mixes of "...Argentina". There might even be a "Super Deluxe" kind of deal for each album, with the singles included, small vinyl replicas and everything.
  6. Is this really the world we're going to live in? Where any criticism is seen as a mortal wound?
I certainly won't take the blame, or be ashamed about anything I've said. It was truly a minor thing, life goes on, other people will discover filters too.

It's exhausting, isn't it? God forbid you try to be constructive again. It's all so childish but as you say, life goes on

Wait, did you not find what I said to be constructive? If so, please forgive me for misunderstanding. I never for one second criticized what was being done other than the sheer in-your-face-ness of it all. But maybe this is  what the forum is at this point? Just certain users hogging it completely because of their own desire for validation?

Sorry if I didn't express myself properly. I was being cynical about you (and a few others) making a constructive comment and being called a "hater" for it. It's ridiculous, but that has happened to me too. Not the first example of this and won't be the last either. Let's stay positive :)

  7. The mixes are out! Tracklist as expected. Radio Edit Miami Mix Edit Miami Spanglish Mix Edit Miami Mix Miami Spanglish Mix Miami Mix Alternate Ending Miami Mix Dub Miami Mix Instrumental Album Version
  8. I'd honestly be fine with using the Thunderpuss Megamix as a template to create several other ones and release that.
  9. I mean, Wallis and Edward were kind of Nazi-aligned, which obviously wouldn't gel well. Madonna obviously decided that Wallis was a misunderstood icon hated only because of her divorcee status, and not for literally posing with Hitler, smiles and all. Choosing such a one-sided reading of the whole situation definitely soured the entire project and actually dumbed it down. It was obvious she was in a post-divorce state herself.
  10. These nine mixes are official, according to the usual places. Soundtrack Version (5:34) Radio Edit/Radio Edit Version (4:51) Miami Mix (7:00) Miami Mix Alternate Ending (8:01) Miami Mix Instrumental Version (7:00) Miami Mix Edit (4:30) Miami Spanglish Mix (7:00) Miami Spanglish Mix Edit (4:30) Miami Dub Mix (6:25) That's the tracklist right there, no surprises, I imagine.
  11. I feel like all of her major projects have been Spring releases for at least 15 years now?
  12. I imagine the Frozen remixes will come out on the anniversary of the original release. Was it Feb 16 or Feb 23?
  13. I think you're quite clearly comparing incomparable things. It's one thing being unhappy about Madonna's Instagram or artistic choices, but insulting someone's physical appearance is the lowest of the low. I react the same if someone's insulting Madonna's appearance as well. Do you not feel uneasy doing that? Do you think misogyny against Madonna is cured by being a bastard about every other female pop star? Please seek reason.
  14. Can we address the hysterical misogynist in some way? They sure love to hog this thread, and I don't come here to read someone insulting women's appearences.
  15. Oh, what a film! You should see it too. <3 The sh*t-eating scene is particularly relevant.
  16. Erm, love how my offhand joke turned into a page-long discussion of fans needing to be cheerleaders at every point. Anyone thinking a film about Madonna co-written and directed by Madonna won't get smashed by critics is delusional. That's why they need to work extra hard to make it impenetrable and as good as possible. No self-aggrandizement, no sainthood, no pity, just humour, attitude, realness. It's really hard to get right even when the main subject isn't involved. The critics are shit, we all know that, but Madonna's cinematic tastebuds aren't really flawless when she's making her own dish, to put it mildly. Byeeeee
  17. I'm not saying it should be a comedy, come on! But narrating occasionally could work, especially to bring the autobiography angle to the forefront.
  18. Honestly I'm so happy if it turns out to be a series. It would solve both the length problem and lessen expectations. This way, it might even become a cult hit instead of a 0% Rotten Tomatoes trashfire it's destined to be. I say, bring it on! She could even do the voice-overs for her show just like Chris Rock did.
  19. I suppose this was a nice way to include her last decade in a Greatest Hits of sorts, since none of them were hits dddd
  20. As I wrote a bajillion times, all of the You Can Dance stuff only takes up two discs. Two megamixes (sides A+B), single edits, Dubs, Unmixed Remixes. Doesn't have to be more complicated than that...
  21. Don't know, can't you figure it out from you magic charts?
  22. Oh, the things I'd do if I were a moderator here...
