  1. Aside from all of the back-and-forth between members here I am deeply disturbed and confused why Madonna OF ALL PEOPLE would have posted this. Was she drunk? Joking? Where is the answer?
  2. Oh, no. She wasn’t at all mad about it. She was in a fantastic mood.
  3. It’s the “what do you call a man with a small penis?” joke. I knew it was coming so I yelled “DONALD TRUMP!” Almost the entire theater roared with laughter and Madonna said, “hmm, interesting” or something along those lines. I think I took her off guard because she did use that as the punchline at one of the BAM performances. Yes, comedians do the same show over and over, and it had nothing to do with recordings, the people on the boards report these things. The joke has became stale. That’s all.
  4. Okay, so, aside from the show being a blur (most M concerts usually are)…. She was amazing! I don't recall ever seeing her in such top form. Her voice, her dancing... everything was amazing! The highlight of the show is definitely Frozen followed closely by Like A Prayer. I was in the pit, 4th row, and it was EXTREMELY cramped. I was on the end, so it wasn't so bad, aside from the venue adding an additional seat for an usher to sit there... This was because I was on the side that Madonna walked down when she performed Medellin. She did the same jokes as she did at BAM - I wish she would get some new material. She did quite a bit of talking, which is always welcome. Did I mention Frozen? Human Nature was of course another huge highlight. Future was awesome with M at the piano, which she actually played quite well. Express Yourself was really cool acapella, and she sang quite a bit of it. She didn't sing but a few bars of Papa Don't Preach - but it was a powerful moment. Being on the end, and being very vocal, M and I had a few moments where we connected - her eyes are mesmerizing. Vogue was of course Vogue. I mean, nuff said. Batuka was incredible live. I still don't care for Killers all that much. The covers are pointless and the crowd seemed bored with them. So, the parts that sucked - it did take FOREVER to get out of the venue and if you have a larger phone they are tough to remove from the pouches. The merch was INSANELY overpriced. The "supreme" hoodies and jackets were 350 which I found to be insulting - I bought 3 tee-shirts and 2 programs and paid over 300. As for M's knee - it was still taped, but the cool part is the she had it taped in the shape of a cross, so she was still rocking it. All-in-all an A+ experience despite the few things that sucked, which had nothing to do with Madonna.
  5. You guys will be pleased to know that I am giving away the other 3 to M fans that didn't have a ticket! YAY! I LOVE making people's day!
  6. Long story short I received an upgrade (for a fee) and the other tickets remained on my account. 3 people... 6 seats. Had I known this earlier I would have posted this so other people would have been aware and I could have lent a hand. Ah, well. At the end of the day I still didn't pay as much as I would have per ticket in the pit through TM.
  7. Ticketmaster has made me ill. I've wound up with 3 extra tickets CC orchestra (I'm in the pit). Tried to resell the tickets but TM is forcing them to be listed at TWICE the current retail value... This is after over 2 hours of delays before they were posted. Unless someone REALLY needs a ticket I'm out 2100 USD. Show begins in 3 hours.
  8. This is very true. The last GH tour was in 2004, and while I know she doesn't like doing that sort of tour it's time for one. A Madonna GH tour would be a smash.
  9. Right now this is only showing for Chicago, but I'm sure other cities will be changed as well. Personally, as someone who will be in Chicago next week, I'm thrilled to know that I don't need to show up at 9:30 just in case she happens to be on time for once! HAHA!
  10. By the way, I've noticed that Ticketmaster and the venues now say 10:30 for the start time, so she's only 30 minutes late now...
  11. I think if Madonna truly needed 2 to 3 weeks of rest her doctor would have told her so. After finding out they sent out part of the staging for repair I wonder if the delay isn't a combination of the knee and the necessary repairs.
  12. I didn't mean to come across as harsh. You are correct that many people that went/plan to go to the NY shows aren't local and some are international. I suppose I mean that if the tour is to continue it wouldn't be fair for Chicago attendees (and yes, I am attending the 16th if the show goes ahead - maybe a little bias here) because there were always far fewer dates and therefore the options for attendance were always smaller.
  13. I have tickets to the Chicago show on the 16th and I have not been refunded. I HATE to say this, but I also think the rest of the New York dates should be cancelled. She was there for around two weeks, so people that wanted to see her in New York had ample dates to do so. She already moved the 10/15 Chicago date, which gives her another day of rest. With well over a week of being off of her knee she has a better chance of healing up. I don't think she's done anything truly bad to her knee, and she probably only needs a few days of rest, but honestly, the more rest the better because we all know that it would take a true act of God for Madonna to cancel the tour.
  14. Maybe. She could be icing her knee.
  15. Madonna has been wearing tape on her knee/calf since rehearsals, if I'm not mistaken. Tape is typically used to avoid damage, which leads me to think that there was already something that was a potential issue and it appears that she's going too hard every night and it finally started giving her real problems. I think it's very sad for both Madonna and her fans because M doesn't like to let her fans down and the limited cities for this tour is making almost everyone travel and in many cases very long distances. I've seen a lot of pictures of the Madonna set being taken down and moved, which I find odd if she truly plans to resume her time in NY on 10/10 - it doesn't make a lot of sense to take down the set if she's supposed to resume in 2 days time. I have tickets for the 16th in Chicago, and I'm getting very nervous about this. The only other date I would be able to attend would be the 17th as I must leave Chicago on the morning of the 18th. I think Madonna is pushing herself entirely too hard. For RHT she usually had 1 or 2 days between dates, but with MX she's going full throttle for days on end and those stairs are probably killing her knee. I think these mini residencies of upwards and beyond 2 weeks in some cities with little rest periods built in was a mistake because she's not giving her body any rest. Yes, Madonna is in amazing shape for 61, but she's still 61. While she's never had age be an issue it's like she's starting to have the issues most people have in their 40s and we all know that the knees start to give us trouble by then if we've been active, and boy(toy) has she been active! My best guess is that M has either over stretched her meniscus or she could have a mild case of tendinitis or bursitis. Either way, she may have to seriously look at her dates for Los Angeles and Miami as those are the only other cities in the US that are going to be strenuous. London and especially Paris may also prove problematic. I'm sure Madonna is worried sick about this.
  16. No, I don't. I think she's an artist who has the support of her fans for 40 years and a little acknowledgment would be nice. I didn't say she should say those exact words, but you know, something would be nice. It's not exactly like she's selling tons of albums these days, she should show more gratitude. Don't get me wrong, I know Madonna loves her fans as much as we love her, but show it once in a while and drop the aloof attitude.
  17. I go because I CHOOSE to go. Madonna is late EVERY SINGLE SHOW because she CHOOSES to do so. Madonna is late every night and I can guarantee you that she's responsible because it happens EVERY show at EVERY tour. That is my point, it just doesn't make any sense to place the blame anywhere else. We know that M is a perfectionist and I can see her getting late starts at the beginning of the tour, or first night of a new venue, but every single show? Sorry, I'm not buying it. I never said that my life falls apart because of this, and yes, I take the time off from work. As for weekend shows, does she do weekends at each city this time around? I didn't check that closely. The problem with your point of view, as I see it, is that you think everyone has the same options and life that you have, and that's just absurd. My husband has to have surgery on his neck one week after the show, this necessary neck surgery is due to him not being able to stand around for hours on his feet or even sitting in an uncomfortable chair - he's a fairly young man that just happens to have a medical issue with a disc pressing on his spinal cord. See, I've seen him have issues at concerts first hand and the additional waiting around is miserable for him, but he endures it because he knows how much I want to see Madonna. Because of this first hand experience I understand that this late start isn't tolerable for every attendee.
  18. Maybe she had extra time, or maybe I'm not the only person that's noticed....
  19. Ah, well I suppose I have to eat my words on that part of my post.... Hmm, wonder why it was just this time.
  20. I attended both MDNA as RH and while yes, she was late, the shows still began by 9:30ish. I made it very clear that I adore her, but this behavior is unacceptable. Do you for 1 second think that Madonna would tolerate this sort of tardiness? That's what boggles my mind, she wouldn't tolerate it, so why should her fans? Also, I don't care that it is her show, the fans are paying for it, she's not paying you to show up. Some people think 2 hours is a long time and as I previously stated, some people have legitimate health issues which prevents them for sitting or standing for that long. You can say, "well, then show up an hour late." But there is always the chance that she's on state within 30 minutes of the start time for that show. Also, as you said yourself, people are flying THOUSANDS of miles to see her, so a little common courtesy from her would go a long way. I do live in the US, and I am traveling to see her, once, perhaps twice, and while I don't have the issue that those in the UK have with curfews, I can totally understand not wanting to be stranded in London or have to choose to leave early because I had no way of getting home. I would probably rent a hotel, but some people have other obligations, like getting to work the next day or family obligations. As for her stopping to acknowledge the fans that wait for her outside... No, as I said, this is Madonna, and she's never been one to do that very often, but at this stage in her career she should be thankful that people want to stand outside and wait for her. She could at least pause and say, "Thank you so much! Please come and see me again!" or something like that. Those are only my opinions.
  21. I think she takes a nap after she rehearses. I don't know that for a fact, but it would make sense.
