I agree with one caveat. Do we have to be going through the exact same circumstance to relate to another human? Sometimes the meaning of a song is deeper than lyrics. Sade's Skin is about childhood molestation to me. Most likely, that was not her intent. I did not love my mother at five, but I can still relate to the feeling of loss in Promise to Try, Mother/Father, Oh Father and Inside of Me. Thankfully, the central theme of a song is often left open ended.

I am definitely ready for the reissues. I am sure that they will be phenomenal. Madonna's catalog is stunning. As long as we do not get something as ridiculous as Like a Prayer 30, it will be amazing. LAP 30 was an apostate.

I love all 15 Madonna albums (I definitely count Breathless as a studio album) but Like a Virgin is my least favorite. It just feels less like a Madonna album than most (to me). LAV has some great songs but she seems to have written less of the material and it feels less personal to me. Unpopular opinion but I would take any of the Interscope albums over LAV if I had to make a choice. Thankfully, I don't. Lol

That does not translate to me streaming the song or including it in any playlists outside of a Japanese version of the physical cd. There are way too many b-sides and bonus songs missing on her online catalogues.
