  1. I think economics forces her too. She may be willing to do it on her end, but she needs a producer who also is willing to, and we already know what happened with Diplo. He had a multitude of other gigs and she couldn’t hold him down. He’s not going to give up money just to lock down with Madonna for an album. If she wanted his time solely for her, she would have had to pay out for it. Times have changed, and music is rarely made the way she’s been used to anymore. She’ll either have to discover someone who hasn’t broken through yet like Sickkick, or work with a producer who doesn’t have much else going on professionally like Mirwais if she wants the time and dedication she used to enjoy when album budgets were much higher.
  2. I don't hear the piano at all while she fixes her hair. It starts after she's done fixing it.
  3. I think part of it is exactly what she said around the time of Rebel Heart in regards to writers camps. The style of making music changed. Artists became “too big to fail” and now use writers camps to make catchy singles but largely disingenuous albums (not all, but many). Madonna is not used to this writing style and shines when she has someone totally dedicated to the process along with her. As far as photo shoots and videos, a lot of promotional money has left the space because albums don’t generate revenue the way they used to. This is why we see a lot of artists do product promotion in videos with larger budgets. Again, this isn’t Madonnas historic style. She’s having to learn new ways to adapt to the current music scene.
  4. The themes are familiar, but I do have to give Ricardo credit where it's due. She looks like herself and it's a beautiful photo.
  5. Can anyone confirm if this is real? It looks like it to me... Edit: never mind just looked at the unexpected surprise thread.
  6. I think she looks great on this tour, personally, and like no one but herself.
  7. He could be producing songs she already recorded rough demos for before the tour as well. We know she was in the studio pre-tour at least a bit.
  8. I only attended the 7th, but it was transcendent (the one with Kylie). I also saw her in Boston. I think LA was a smidge better, but they both had their highlights. The crowd at both shows was incredible.
  9. This solo one is so much better than the duet! I’m so glad it was released.
  10. Have a blast! Madonna concerts always put me in a good mood!
  11. A part 2 to this tour would be my second ideal choice for post-Brazil ( new album being #1). Sticky and Sweet part 2 only heightened the tour, and I'm so disappointed that one was never captured on DVD.
  12. I can't believe this thread is filled with grown adults tattling like they're in kindergarten. Can everyone grow up and use the ignore button?
  13. LA was amazing. You could tell she really gave it her all!
  14. She shouted out Monte Pittman last night, who was in the audience. I remember lots of speculation she dropped him from her circle.
  15. I was looking for this for a long time! I remembered she posted some new dance track that seemed to feature vocals from her but couldn’t find it anywhere.
  16. Maybe Madonna was working out the rap on her own and only brought it to Shep once she felt it was complete and right for the song. That would work for both their accounts.
  17. She must be a good chef if M likes her enough to call into this show for her. I've noticed M is way more generous to people who work for her in the last 4-5 years. She puts the spotlight on them, tags them in posts, etc. Before she did very little for people who worked for her. At least publicly
