  1. Hey guys, just letting you know r/popheads is ranking her discography! They've done so with lots of legends and now it's her turn. https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/d0corw/hello_popheads_lets_rank_madonnas_discography/
  2. AlanLongoria at the another M forum forum does this once a month this is from earlier this month if im not mistaken https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CJB0DmNS_LpkEZq7SvGzArMGQaV3oaViJH3-m7hPC-M/edit#gid=1522085696
  3. If anything, I'd love it if she crafted a collection of what she thinks it's her best work. We for sure wouldn't be seeing I'll Remember or This Used to Be My Playground but it'd be interesting to know what remixes she'd include, what era she looks back the most fondly to, etc. But if there was to be a full collection, I'd love something like Britney Spears' The Singles Collection. They got every single, some remixes and B sides (including the rare ones) and remastered them. Also included every video in a DVD that came with a special edition. This would be a BIG task and it'd be an expensive product, but some people would pay a lot of money to get a full official Madonna anthology. There would be no use in making a Celebration 2.0 because most of it would be the same compilation, the interesting thing would be to release something that also celebrates all the stuff in between and the stuff that Celebration skipped.
  4. If any of you guys is a Britney Spears fan, then you know the best case scenario would be a Singles Collection for Madonna. From wikipedia: "a CD+DVD edition and a box set, which contained twenty-nine singles, each packaged in its own slip case with original cover art. The CD+DVD edition, as well as the box set, contains a DVD with Spears's music videos." The box also includes B sides for every single, so some very rare songs like Autumn Goodbye and I'm So Curious are easier to find thanks to this, and now they're on Spotify thanks to the collection being on there too. For Madonna, it'd be something like this: Everybody (Album Version) Everybody (Dub Version) Burning Up (Album Version) Burning Up (Alternate Version) Holiday (Album Version) Think of Me Lucky Star (Album Version) I Know It Borderline (Album Version) Borderline (New Mix) Like a Virgin Stay Material Girl Pretender Crazy For You Crazy For You (Shep Pettibone Remix) Angel Into The Groove Dress You Up Shoo-Bee-Doo Gambler Gambler (Extended Dance Mix) Live To Tell Live To Tell (Instrumental) Papa Don't Preach Ain't No Big Deal True Blue True Blue (Extended Dance Version) Open Your Heart White Heat (LP Version) La Isla Bonita La Isla Bonita (Extended Remix) Who's That Girl Who's That Girl (Extended Version) Causing a Commotion Jimmy Jimmy The Look of Love Love Don't Live Here Anymore Spotlight Where's The Party (Remix Single Edit) Like a Prayer Act of Contrition Express Yourself (Immaculate Collection Version) Express Yourself (Album Version) Cherish Supernatural Oh Father Pray For Spanish Eyes Dear Jessie Till Death Do Us Part Keep it Together Keep it Together (12'' Remix) That'd just be the singles up until the Like a Prayer era, but you get how it'd work. A single in its regular version and its B side, both versions of the songs would be remastered. I've made some changes to the formula as some songs have a B side that's repeated somewhere else, so I've put a remix in its place. It'd be a love letter for all the fans out there, and a good way to get Supernatural and Ain't No Big Deal physically nowadays, with rare mixes and B sides from the 90s too. The best case scenario would be a big box package where every single has its own cover and artwork in its CD.
  5. Tbh I need to hear Holiday sung with Donna and NIkki once again. Imagine if they sung Rain?
  6. I think Madonna knows she can just do an arena tour and get some cash. That's why she did the 2009 leg of the S&S tour. If she wants to do theaters it's most likely because that's her artistic vision. I don't understand why there would be people against that tbh. There were some dates on the RHT where she wasn't at her peak in her voice + dancing and all of that. Massive world tours like that are exhausting. I think the one part of the show where she genuinely loved it every night was when she'd interact with the fans and sing a requested song, or a little acapella snippets of older songs.
  7. honestly if i were Madonna I'd do that too. Tears of a Clown was probably a refreshing experience for her, a show that's maybe not as polished as a big tour, and this way she can talk to the fans (which we know she likes to do). And also it'd be more polished than ToaC, with a creative vision and all. I can't wait to see stuff from it on youtube because I'm so poor lol I can imagine she would bring back classics the fans like because it's more intimate. Maybe that's why she said she'd think about Rescue Me and called it dope. I'd love any track from American Life ps. she's complained before that she can't sing slow songs on tour because they're "boring" and people go get drinks or go to the toilet and stuff. Even HeartBreakCity had that Love Don't Live Here Anymore moment so the crowd would be waiting for that. Maybe this way she can sing slower songs and not feel pressured into only doing the biggest and dancier songs.
  8. Ehh Medellín should be over Secret at least. It's better than 4 Minutes too
  9. Aw she liked her. A lot of her 80s performances are very much pitchy but I love them for that looking back. I hadn't thought 80s Madonna would classify as "baby voice" but I can see how. The video should've very much focused on good vocals and less Crazy for You and Like a Virgin though, even though those were iconic, they're not Lament or Sooner or Later.
  10. that's a bit too dismissive for a 1990 album, isn't it? Let's be happy Madonna accomplished something through her old catalog despite not really doing promo right now.
  11. I had some issues with the choices for Rebel Heart's singles for a while. I'd have gone with Bitch I'm Madonna as the first single, nowadays it's the most streamed song from RH on any platform. Then I'd have Ghosttown, now that eyes are on Madonna. Loved the TV performances, but would've promoted it on tour too. And then I'd have Unapologetic Bitch. It has pretty high streams now on spotify way after its promotion period, it's fun and it could've been a modest summer hit. And I'd close off the era with Devil Pray. It'd have a fun religious-themed video, the song is just very Madonna and with no promotion basically it got really high streams.
  12. I'd be happy if she performed 5 older songs with the rest of the show being new ones Everybody Masterpiece She's Not Me Like it Or Not Rain I mean of course other than the classics. I fully expect and would also love Music/Like a Prayer/La Isla Bonita/Human Nature/Candy Shop again, but those songs I mentioned would be fun.
  13. Going on what I listen to the most to the least: Till Death Do Us Part Express Yourself (I usually listen to the IC or Celebration versions though) Like a Prayer Keep It Together Love Song Supernatural (Is this cheating) Cherish Oh Father Dear Jessie Pray for Spanish Eyes Promise To Try (need to be in the right mood for it) Act of Contrition
