  1. When i was sad, i listen a lot Oh Father. This song was so close to my heart then it's hit me a major sensible thing in my mind. Before i sleeping, i listen a lot Sanctuary, Has to Be or Live to Tell.
  2. My favorites in order: Has to Be, Sanctuary, Till Death to This Part, Paradise and Isaac.
  3. Me i hate : 1. All Madame X songs 2. Erotica 3. I'm So Stupid 4. Did You Do It? 5. Impressive Instant 6. II'I Rather Be Your Lover 7. Love Song 8. Beat Goes On I didn't listen the MDNA and Rebel Heart, so i didn't judge anything and i wasn't fan of the debut album.
  4. If you remember for Rihanna, when she started her career (during 2005-2006), Rihanna was hugely compared of Beyonce of her look and her music and all the critics and the public label cited that she have a one hit wonder with her two first albums. Her third album is she when she have her black habit during The Good GIrl Gone Bad album and progressivly she started to distant the Beyonce style of her music. Her fourth album, Rated R, was really the album then she have her own style of her music. She is also the album that she have more control of her songs and have her word to say about her music and her songs and was her most acclaimed album critical success to date (but with less success in public to Good Girl Gone Bad and A Girl Like Me). This album easily compared to the album The Velvet Rope by Janet Jackson, because of her dark tone and the way she faced in her emotionnal pain in her songs (the whole album talk about toxic relationship and domestic violence and this album as intimate and personal for her). She risk everything about this album, at a time when her fame have not established like today. And unlike her three first albums, she was the main writer of this album, writting nine of the thirteen tracks of the album (and the exclusive producteur of this album and all the albums after Rated R). And if you have her artistics albums later of her career, if because of Rated R, a declaration of her independance of her creative process in music and her career. Rated R changed totally the way you look in her music.
  5. My favorites: All the pictures of Ray of Light, Music and COnfessions on a Dance Floor era. I love all the pictures of theses era. Music was a beautiful era with the cowgirl style. My least: All the pictures of the booklet of Erotica, including the cover (so much very bad) and the cover of Madame X.
  6. My favorite album of her career. The production of this album is fire and very haunting, the ambiance was so hypnotical, very spiritual and she also improved her vocals in this album, thanks to the singing lesson during the making of Evita. I love the diversity of this album. Like Like a Prayer, this album was very varied and the sequencing was incredible well. The album started in her first eight tracks with more up-beat sound, while the five last tracks (or six in the Japan version) was more a slow ballad (Frozen was a transition between the first eight tracks and the last tracks of the album, because i considered a mid-tempo ballad). She have her best re-invention of her career and also this album was her second born of her career. She explored in this album: Dance, Electro, Trip-Hop, Bossa Nova, Rock, New age, spiritual and Asian music in this album. Also the pure sound of her music and the rich arrangements created a sound so much good, very complex and very relaxing. This album makes me happy all the time when i listen this album. Also, the cover and the pictures of the booklet represent perfectly the general ambiance of the whole album. My favorites of this album was Frozen and Has to Be. I have the japanese version, because i was a huge fan of Has to Be, i love how Madonna explored the New Age style with this song and the perfect ending of a album.
  7. I remember to buy this album after my obssesion of Confessions on a Dance Floor at the time of the released. I listen many times this albums (except Beat Goes On and 4 minutes then i always skipped, i not like so much of theses two songs). I listen today the album after nine years and the album was so worse to listen today compared to when i listen the album at the time of 2008. The production not aged so well and was outdated. When i listen for example Confessions on a Dance Floor or Music, the album was listen so well many years after the released and was timeless. Not Hard Candy. Depist this album was good, this album was not traveled the decades. Spanish Lession was in fact a good vibe, but not so much lyrically, musically, it's was good, but not so much good as many latino that she recording before (like Spanish Eyes or Deeper and Deeper). But I prefer this song to Beat Goes On, Dance 2Night and 4 Minutes. My favorite of this album was Give It 2 Me.
  8. The 1998-1999 was her best period of her. Because with Ray of Light after the blacklash of Erotica and the moderate success of Bedtime Stories, she returned with a masterpiece: Ray of Light. The 1998 was a period of the critics finally plaised a album of Madonna, and Ray of light was her most critical acclaimed album of her career. And also, this album add a second born of her career and was massivly successful worldwide. A iconic period who Madonna was finally accepted by the critics. The singles was also popular and the title track and Frozen was a wave worldwide.
  9. Words, i hate this song during many years until i listen the last year the demo version. Changed littelary my view of this song and i appreciate the sincerity of this song about the communication with a manipulator person, particulary in the bridges and the end of the song. The demo version was spectacular and incredible, more to the final version. Where's Life Begins and Secret Garden: The two tracks was so sexual and the talking, i appreciate more Where's Life Begins after to ear the instrumental version, this version have a another vision of the song. Secret Garden was a song when i appreciate after to ear the lyrics of the songs. This haunting, dark and mysterious ambiance help to have a very strange mix of House and jazz and and the horn add a more dark feeling in the song about the lyrics, very sexual. Erotica was not one of my favorites albums of her and not a huge fan of the album
  10. I consider True Blue a transition between this and Like a Prayer. Because this album retain her dance-pop sound of her two first album, but she add also latino and ballad for the first time in her albums and she sing in a more lower register to her debut. The debut album and Like a Virgin was more dance pop and teenager style. While this album included a more mature dance-pop style. This album cibled the old public (like Live to Tell and La Isla Bonita) and also the younger (with Papa Don't Preach, True Blue and Open Your Heart). My favorites of the album was Open Your Heart, Live to Tell, La Isla Bonita and Where's the Party, all excellents tracks. i like also the four others tracks of the album. Live to Tell was a exceptionnal instrumentals and a haunting ballad. This ballad help him to conquer a more mature public and the prelude of the album. After that, she always incorpored the ballads in her albums (The most was Ray of Light, this album included five ballads at the end of the album).
  11. Ray of Light and Confessions on a Dance Floor was the best albums titles. Ray of Light was the best title to represent the content of the album and also the ambiance of the album. Confessions on a Dance Floor was the best title to represent the musical styles and also the lyrics of the album. Because this album was a album produced for a club or a discotheque.
  12. My three songs when i cry hugely: Oh Father: This song definitived me for my relation with my father. I cry a lot when i listen this song. This song was a gift in my life and also very close with my feelings. One of her songs then i was very close to my head and my heart. Promise to Try: A incredible song and i always cry in this song when i sing the lyrics of the song. A masterpiece. In This Life: depist i didn't like so well the album Erotica, this song marked me because of this message of the song. THis song talk about the dead of her friends of AIDS. A poem was recited at the end of the song, address to all the peoples to lost a friend to AIDS or many diasease. THe poem at the end was very sad and very a sad reality.
  13. My favorites albums: 1. Ray of Light 2. True Blue 3. Confessions on a Dance Floor 4. Like a Prayer 5. Bedtime Stories In fact, i not like at all Erotica and Madame X.
  14. I didn't like very well the album Erotica (my least favorite with Madame X), but i appreciate the fact she talk about taboos subjects in the songs of the album. And also, this album was very ahead of her time at the time of released, the sound was very raw, dark and not formated for radios (Shep Pettibone say this album was not for radios and it's difficult to access of the songs of the album, outside of Deeper and Deeper and Rain, more radio friendly). Today, many magazines included this album to one of her innovative and adventurious album of all time, because with this album, she recording a more rough album. But this album was not for all (this album was not totally for me). Bedtime Stories was more a album to reconquer her public after her failed with Erotica (Critical and sales of the album). But this album included very good songs like Take a Bow, Don't Stop and also my favorite track of the album: Sanctuary. This song and the title-track was the prelude of her electronic music for her next album (Ray of Light). I like this album and i considered a more radio friendly after the album Erotica, not formated for radios and very rough.
  15. I hate Erotica, A horror this track, i hate the beat, the ambiance and also the voice of Madonna of his track. A nightmare this track. Same thing with Impressive instant (the auto-tune used hugely was a nightmare of this song). I hate The Dark Ballet, a worst version of the ballet of Tchaïkovski (i love her music of her, like the nutcracket and sleeping beauty). I didn't like also Waiting, Like a Virgin (i never been a fan of this song) and Lucky Star,
