How an album can be great when you have songs like: shoo-bee-do, jimmy jimmy, love makes the world go round, can't stop, i'm going bananas, cry baby, did you do it, don't stop, incredible, superstar, b-day song.
It's a matter of taste...and believe me I can listen to dark Ballet and batuka the whole day, especially the live versions.

It's a matter of taste. To me MDNA is a giant pile of shit that should be erased from her discography. For some it's her best work.

I love that album.
I hate the movie.

Absolutely love it and still play it. so many amazing tracks and the 4 official singles were stellar
 

Madame X is an album where I feel that Madonna finally takes the reins of the entire creative process and not like the previous albums where all the responsibility was that of the producer and where Madonna only followed his instructions without involving me beyond what was due. I always felt this from Hard Candy to Rebel Heart, records where I couldn't find that label that has always characterized Madonna and where any other artist could have sung all the songs on the record and sound exactly the same.
That is why I am glad to be one of the lucky few and with good musical taste to feel that I am in front of a wonderful album that explores sounds from all over the world and that still falls short because there are so many musical genres that were left pending and that it would have been impossible to put them all on a single disc and that is why I would have loved a second part of this beautiful album that from its conception wildly attracted my attention, especially with that mysterious and disconcerting intro that symbolically summarizes the whole Madonna's career: that of a woman who can live so many different lives in one.

Everything about Madame X era is amazing. The concept, the journey, the story, songs, THE SHOW.
People who don't like the era are still waiting COADF 2, True Blue 2 or -worse- MDNA2 (except for the show, really a bad and mediocre album)
And I'm in love with COADF. Thanks to Hung Up, I became her fan.

It's an absolutely brilliant, inspired, impassioned album, with some of the best videos she's done in a long time, and a complete reinvention of her stage show. And yes, I'm saying it - the final tour film is a beautiful edit. One of her best tour films in a long time. While maybe not perfect, it was a very special era...and one that no other popular artist, male or female (especially), has the balls to pull off at that point in their career. We really are the luckiest fanbase.

I really love it, the album and the concert - it's her most creative in a very long time -

When it comes to racism, homophobia, body shaming, etc…, that’s where the line should be drawn. Someone not liking the cover art or release strategy, that shouldn’t be an issue.

@deathproof I completely agree. Everyone needs to learn how to respect other people's opinions. It's one thing if someone is just being rude and obnoxious about something, but most of the dissatisfied opinions in the thread were just expressing that dissatisfaction and not being mean. But even then some people go after someone for just expressing their opinion because they don't like it and it becomes this battle. 
What a forum should be is, people are allowed to express whatever opinion they have as long as it is not aggressive, rude, hateful, etc. Which most were not in that thread. The 1-2 individuals who were doing it should've been clocked and the thread should've continued. I can't stand people being censored for differing opinions.

I definitely think we can discuss and share our opinions, disagreements, and distaste over anything that Madonna puts out in a friendly manner. That’s the point of these messages boards at the end of the day; to have a conversation. We are bound to have different opinions. That’s the beauty of the world in that not one person is alike.
I think the bigger issue is people constantly going after each person with a negative comment. Just ignore it and move on. It disrupts the flow of the thread. You can’t negate someones negative opinion by being negative towards that person.
