I think that silly. She has always been interested in more modern contemporary music. She has always liked hip hop long before she had kids. I get that a lot of her fans dislike that style of music, but that is her taste, not imposed on her by her kids or boyfriend.

I think the direction would depend on whether it will coincide with the movie or be a stand alone album that comes first if the movie is delayed. If it coincides with the movie it might be more mainstream to appeal to a wider audience, and maybe have an 80s influence. That insider at pop justice said it was something unexpected that she hadn’t done before, so that would sort of rule out a disco sound.

These special Icon awards aren’t really given on merit, but who is willing to show up at the ceremony. Didn’t Taylor have to quarantine to be able to go to the ceremony? I really don’t think Madonna is going to fly all the way to London, quarantine when she doesn’t have a new album out to promote just to accept a silly award that will soon be forgotten.

How much would you pay to Zoom with Madonna?

I find it odd that fans get offended when by her sense of humor when people use that humor all the time on this forum. Why is it okay for you to use that kind of humor in your daily life but she can’t? Maybe she just wants people to treat her like a normal person and ask intelligent questions instead of slobbering all over themselves and saying she changed your life. I get nervous when I meet people in person. I would feel more comfortable asking her a question over video. Maybe she gets nervous too and that’s why she makes awkward jokes. -

I think it’s a cool idea. The only problem I see is the moderator. A lot of times when fans are invited to ask artists questions the moderator screens out all the really interesting questions and only chooses boring ones like how do you balance motherhood and your career, or even worse asks most of the questions themselves and only picks a very few fan questions at the end. -

Melanie C. did one. There was a moderator who picked people to ask questions but fans did get to ask questions. To get entrance you just had to buy a copy of her album. -

I think it sounds cool. Much better than a standard meet and greet where you just get a picture and an autograph and would be less expensive. As long as it’s not too expensive. It shouldn’t be more than $25 At least this shows talent where artists are talking about their art and music, not just posing. I’m a writer and a lot of bookstores have events where you pay to hear authors talk. Time is money. Why are artists expected to do everything for free? -
Correct! You have to wear a mask in public places where there might be otter unvaccinated people though.
-
So Madonna or any artist can’t write a song about a political issue? Or how about a director who makes a movie about some political issue? Yes, they make money from it, but their art is the main way they communicate and reaches more people than if they just gave a speech at a charity benefit. The point is to raise awareness of an issue and sometimes using art is the best way to do it. And she hardly made a huge amount of money from Madame X anyway.

You have to wear a mask if you are around people who aren’t vaccinated or who you don’t know if they are vaccinated. But the CDC has said you don’t have to wear a mask at private gatherings where you know everyone there is vaccinated. What’s the point of being vaccinated and having vaccine passports if you still have to wear masks and can’t do anything? Doesn’t make sense.
-
I would assume she’s been vaccinated by now.
-
She wore a mask when she went to the doctor’s office. if you have been vaccinated you don’t have to wear a mask around other vaccinated people. I would assume she has been vaccinated by now. The US is way ahead of other countries as far as vaccinations. It’s available to all adults. Most likely she and the people she is with have all been vaccinated.

Diablo Cody didn't 'quit' Madonna biopic!

Just from Madonna’s Instagram it seemed that they did finish a draft of it., Maybe the studio wasn’t happy with the script and requested a rewrite, -
How do u imagine Madonna's career ending?

She may eventually stop touring, but I don’t think she will ever bill it as a farewell tour. I find it really tacky when artists do that to cash in. And a lot of times they change their mind and do another tour which is embarrassing. -
It doesn’t interest me at all. I don’t like that kind of showtune music. I prefer more contemporary pop music. I would love to see her in a Broadway musical rather than a movie because she excels on front of a live audience. But I would want it to be a new musical hopefully with a more contemporary pop or world music style, not showtunes. The only musicals I have enjoyed are Hamilton, Fela and American Idiot so a new musical in that vein.

I don’t have Netflix. Do they generally air a lot of concerts? I thought it was mostly movies. How much demand is there to see recorded concerts? I will watch it because it’s Madonna, but to be honest I probably wouldn’t watch a recorded concert by some artist I just casually like. I would probably watch a movie instead. The demand is probably less now because they are tons of live streams. Why watch a year old concert when you can watch a current live stream?

He has also recently written a film screenplay. Aren’t writing plays and film screenplays quite similiar? A film is a play without an audience. They are both based around dialogue. It’s not as though someone known for writing novels and short stories (which aren’t just dialogue but have a narrator explaining things) is trying to write a screenplay.
