  1. Yes, tons of unreleasead songs. But in the case of Prince, it's different, he recorded tons of unreleased material trhough the years. In the case of Madonna, I think there are only a few unknown songs.
  2. She's doing exactly the same than Prince. He came back to Warner in 2014 with a new deal (which was including new albums and the re-release of Purple Rain), and he started to write an autobiography (Madonna is writing a biopic). Sadly he didn't got enough time for the Re-release and the bio. But Warner published the re-release of Purple Rain after his death, and part of his bio has been published last year. Warner also teamed up with Prince's legacy to re-release tons of his records including brand new songs.
  3. They should have not released this video. There is Missy on it, but not Madonna ? That's nonsense. It's like doing a U2 video with The Edge, but without Bono. People won't never recognise Madonna's voice in the song, because it's too similar to Dua Lipa's voice. Only Missy's voice is clearly recognized, without reading the credits of the song. The only reason she did this song is maybe it's a featuring again (she loves them since Hard Candy), and it's probably a way to say : "Madame X era is over". But it's not the begin of a new era. I hope Warner is not hoping this song to be the symbol of a new Madonna era Let's see now if Warner is announcing something or not Sunday or Monday.
  4. Ok but then it means that you' more excited by the 'come back' or by the fact it's a Dua Lipa song, than by the song itself. I hope Madonna is on the video though. It could be more interesting than the song.
  5. I don't get why people are excited about it ? The solo part by Madonna alone lasts maybe 24 seconds, and only hardcore fans like us will recognize her voice, with headphones on. The song or the remix is fresh and cool, but I don't think people will say : "oh this song is cool, there is Madonna in it" ..
  6. The Madame X tour was similar to a woman who wishes to leave her husband: Madonna did everything during this tour to tell to fans : "I'm leaving you. Just let me alone, now."
  7. I'm a fan since 1989. When I heard about a new album for 2019, I thought : "OMG I can't wait ! I want to see her in 5 shows in Europe !" I was excited. Then, Medellin arrived. I was like : "Huh" ? But it was OK. But then, the album has been released,, and after 1 play, I felt depressed. I thought that this album was to encourage suicide or so. DEPRESSED ! It was the total opposite of Music, La isla Bonita, ROL, and almost the opposite of each Madonna album. Then, the tour. When I saw the 3 cities in Europe and the prices, I knew that my 5 shows plan was dead. So I planned only 1 date, which hopefully has not been cancelled. It was not Interscope fault. Of course, the lack of promo didn't helped, but the main failure was the whole era. But I think Warner won't even allow her to release such an album. And they won't let the Instagram account becoming a political room. Interscope didn't put any interest in Madonna, maybe because they knew her deal was mainly with Live Nation and huge tours. MX was supposed to be her biggest tour in the number of dates. With Warner, I guess there won't be any tour planned. So they 'll focus on Music in order to protect the back catalog. The more the new album will be good, the more the back catalog will be protected (in terms of sales).
  8. Nobody said that Madonna will get a huge success at Warner like in the 90's. We all know it's wrong. But I think fans are happy, because if it's true, then it means she finally has a record company (her deal at Interscope was over), and fans will probably get re-releases from the past. So it makes at least 2 good reasons to be happy. And if we're lucky enough if she releases a new album, it can't be worse than if it was released by Interscope. And regarding Madame X, I still don't get how some fans can pretend it's one of her best albums with shits like Faz Gostoso, Bitch I'm Loca ???????????????????? Hello, we're talking about Madonna here. Not Nicki Minaj or so.
  9. And if we look carefully, the Warner new deal (if it happens) is the best (and maybe only) solution. Considering the "bad" sales from the 3 Interscope albums, considering she's 62 and that her last tour has been a disaster in terms of image, Warner is the best solution. She can work on her strong back catalog, maybe providing some interesting releases (just take a look to what they did with Prince catalog : https://store.prince.com/store/?utm_source=EstateHub&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=Link-from-hub ) ,and if she wants, she can of course release new stuff. On the opposite, if she deals with Interscope or Sony, then she would have to release only new stuff, in a weak way. A new album with Warner means that Warner can provide a bigger support. They can release a new album is a re-release for example. Remember for example when in 2001 they re-released the 3 first albums during the tour.
  10. The Madame X Tour CD / DVD is clearly NOT the reason for Madonna to join Warner. Universal can release it, because it was probably included with the deal with them. AS I said, maybe Warner will buy the rights fo all the stuff released by Universal. But the real reason why Madonna is "maybe" joining Warner, is the money she can earn with her back catalog. She'll probably win more money with re-releases of her back catalog than with any new album. Of course, maybe the new deal is including new albums but I can't imagine Madonna win a lot of money with it.
  11. Don't know If I like this news. I don't know if he's a good or bad manager, but I think I would like someone fresh and new.
  12. They make the choice to say : " Saturday (Aug. 8) " because they know this could be not true anymore on Aug 16 The official news won't never come from the Sun or Billboard. The official news will come with an official statement sent to all the medias. The buzz built by Warner since a few days is not innocent I think. The only official fact right now is that her deal with Interscope / LN is over since the MX tour has been launched.
  13. There is another possibility : maybe she signed a deal with Warner for her back catalog only. For example : we can imagine that an new agreement includes : new editions from her golden albums : Like A Prayer (something was almost ready I think), Erotica, and so on.. AND maybe Warner is buying the records she did with Interscope : MDNA, RH, MX. But, (just maybe), for her future albums, she's looking for another company ? Who knows.. Although,I think there are too many indications she's 100% back at Warner : the twitter / instagram accounts , the Whos'that Girl trailer (very iconic trailer), the Sun article who's talking about the amount of the deal, and finally the Dua Lipa featuring. I think the biggest clue is the Dua Lipa featuring. I mean, when is the last time Madonna released a "one-shot" single between 2 albums ? Ok it's a featuring, but it is VERY unexpected. Very unexpected when you know that : 1) she got issues with he knee recently 2) the COVID era didn't helped 3) we wait 4 years between RH and MX to get something new. And finally, all these WARNER Records rumours AND the Dua Lipa featuring come the same week than her birthday. So if Warner wants to make Buzz around Madonna, they won't do it differently.
  14. I'm agree with what have been said already : in 2007 when she signed with Interscope, everybody was happy that she was leaving Warner, and now she's back at Warner, everybody is happy. Of course, the record company has some responsabilities in the success of an album. Warner did a great work on Music and Confessions for example. But we can't blame Interscope for all the negativity from the few last years. The violence in MDNA songs, the issues with her ass, or the disaster with the Madame X Tour (late starting) were not Interscope fault. Beside this, the lack of promo for these albums (MDNA, RH, MX) is the responsability of Interscope. I think she never wanted to leave Warner. But she wanted to earn money with Live Nation with huge tours, and probably that one of the conditions was to sign with Interscope. Now that Interscope / LN deal is over, coming back to Warner is her best decision, for at least 2 reasons : -they have her back catalog -it's the company who made her famous We don't know yet the details of the deal, but there is a possibility that Warner will buy the rights on MDNA, RH and Madame X, in order to secure the full catalog. I think we can expect an announcement in a few days, around her birthday, and around the release of the remix with Dua Lipa. Be ready for your money : I'm pretty sure that Warner will release many re-editions, box set, merchandising. If you look what they did recently with Prince, (ok he's dead, but it's very similar) you'll be shocked by the number of releases of Prince records since he's dead. Prince did almost the same in 2014 ; he came back to Warner 18 years after he left. (you should read this article : https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6062423/prince-deal-with-warner-bros-new-album-coming ) Finally, I guess that, if she signs NOW in August 2020 with Warner, it's not for an new album in 2023. I'm pretty sure she'll release a new album in the end of 2021. And before that, there is a possibility that she'll release a best of (end of 2020 ?). I was already surprised that there was the remix with Dua Lupa. I mean, since about 10 years, she did not released any one shot single like she used to do in the 90's (This used to be, I'll remember...) So this is a very good news, and if you see all the buzz around the rumours ( Twitter / Instagram WB accounts...) the promo already started and they have something really planned.
