  1. Saw it on Reddit and loved it! I love how Madonna inspires fans with her imagery to produce amazing design work. I'd buy one but I'm poor right now... do you trade for a Madonna Monopoly?
  2. HOLY shit, it's actually the WHOLE performance
  3. Please give me a timestamp, I'm going CRAZY with this
  4. That's odd, Anitta has actually always been very vocal and critical of Bolsonaro on Twitter from what I've seen. There's even an interview from 2019 where she explicitly says that she doesn't support him at all: https://vogue.globo.com/beleza/gente/noticia/2019/02/em-entrevista-internacional-anitta-fala-sobre-o-presidente-eleito-jair-bolsonaro-e-sobre-seu-posicionamento-politico.html
  5. She's big mainly in Latin-America and Europe, I don't think she's that big in the US. Maluma too.
  6. PS: Maluma and Anitta are huge, let's not kid ourselves. Especially Anitta.
  7. I'm gonna forget this DVD is coming so I can stop stressing and be pleasantly surprised in a few weeks months years when it's released
  8. Does she control that, though? I think she has someone who's in charge of her social media... so she probably doesn't even know that Still bad, though
  9. But imagine if it DOES end up being released in April...
  10. Just kidding, I don't have sources.
  11. I just heard from a very good source that the DVD is coming out in April!
  12. Oh! That makes sense. I'd never made the connection. So that's explained
  13. Yap, I think this sums it up perfectly. I mean, she couldn't have been on top FOREVER. She's been active for nearly 4 decades (!!) with a constant stream of hits. How many artists in the history of music have had that privilege?! I also think it boils down to projection. Fans are also getting older themselves and the reality of age hits them. To see their once-near-divine-goddess canceling shows because her body is starting to cave in and not being the center of news everywhere anymore is a bit of a shock. But it's normal, it's expected, it's life. Age is not destroying her, age is reinventing her again. Although I do wish that reinvention didn't include grillz.
  14. Oh, I didn't know he was on DWT as well. To be honest DWT and RIT are the modern tours I like less I find them a bit... dull. The musical arrangements don't spark anything for me, either. But this is now more of a matter of personal taste. Either way, my point was that I don't think Antunes is a devil and Price is a god. I think they both have different approaches and are good in their own ways.
  15. I'm torn up on Kevin Antunes. While I do think his sound is a bit "flat" for some reason, the fact is that thanks to him we got some of the best song reinventions like Vogue and Like a Prayer S&S or Candy Shop MDNA. I think he's a great "mash-upper" which work on some songs, but not on others. Either way, he made justice to Madonna's premise which is reinventing. While Stuart did a good job on the Confessions Tour, I think it was because it was his work anyway and the songs were very DJ-ish to begin with, because if you dissect the other ones they weren't actually that original: - Ray of Light as a very generic rock version - Drowned World/Substitute for Love was a monotone beat over an acoustic guitar - Music wasn't even him, it's the Disco Inferno instrumental - Lucky Star was basically the Hung Up beat... Erotica was his one true gem, but other than that, nothing really stands out as original or "his" reinvention, unlike Kevin who made some real good mash-up reinventions. He also did an amazing job on Madame X, because Human Nature and Frozen were next level. In the end I think they both have their merit and I would love to see them both as musical directors of a tour, to balance things out. Kevin would rework the classics while Stuart would do the current songs. Oh, and let's not forget Madonna also has a say in this and she pus a lot of input as well. So if a song comes out bad, it's also her fault.
  16. I'm sorry but sometimes I feel like I'm living in a different reality than some of her fans. Everywhere I go, every time I watch something, every time I meet someone, Madonna is there. Just yesterday I counted 5 Madonna references in shows I've watched in the past week alone. My non-fan friends send me things they see of her all the time, like a t-shirt at a store or whatever. The woman had a #1 album in several countries just 18 months ago, followed by a sold-out tour of very expensive tickets that sold like hot cakes. She was universally appraised after 3 mediocre albums and at the age of 60 (!). Why do some fans focus so much on the butt and grillz and elevate those things to the same level of her work? That's like 10% of her. Yes, her Instagram is cringy but you guys know she's a boomer, right? lol what did you expect from a 60-year old woman on the internet... and I've seen way worse, to be honest. I 100% disagree that younger people don't know her music, or at least that's not what I see in my personal experience. Her hit songs from Like a Virgin to Girl Gone Wild are very well known by the few 18-20-year olds I know and they do like her. Online I also get that feedback. She's seen as an icon, the Queen of Pop, the top of the hierarchy. Her status is unchanged by some grillz or whatever she may feel like wearing... I understand disliking the implants/grillz/cirurgies but to say she looks "cheap, basic, unflattering" when she's dressed in amazing outfits with bomb-ass makeup and hair for the gods just screams of sexism, ageism and even classism to me... but that's just my point of view.
  17. Omg, you said it perfectly. I too love the "innocence" of the Ray of Light video, like "look what's happening technologically! And a new millennium is coming! Life is getting fast and exciting!". Even though I was only 8 at the time I remember feeling that hope and excitement so the video makes me feel all kinds of nostalgia. I can only imagine it's augmented for people who were older. A shame that 2 albums later we had to have American Life because that innocence was crushed in 2001. :/
  18. Omg. I really liked her as a producer. I wonder what was the cause of death?
  19. Ooh, that's the WTG cartoon! Damn, I dislike that era so much that I didn't even remember it
