Hurray! What good news to end the week! Shakira deserves all the awards for being a quality artist in every sense, especially for her lyrics, which are, at times, a real challenge to anyone's vocabulary. I remember that thanks to her I learned many new words such as "rhetoric", "philanthropist", "headless", etc. Complex words scattered in several of her musical works.
Shakira definitely represents us Latinos and whoever dares to criticize or minimize her, all Latinos should go against that person because they confront Shakira, they confront all Latinos.

@chaosmen1984mkMany of these are just suffering from unmastered quality or bad or fuzzy EQ so if it's that I can resolve it most probably but lossy I don't know

Is there a way to make better quality versions of certain demos that don't sound very good, such as Dear Father, Run, Shame, Thief of hearts, You're the one, etc. With the appearance of artificial intelligence programs in music, could that be possible?

By the way, how exciting to find Shakira fans in this place. Since when are you a fan of Shakira? I have followed Shakira since her beginnings, long before she sang in English and entered the North American market. In fact, the songs that I like the most from her are from that time: Ojos Así, Suerte, Que me quedes tú, No, Te dejo Madrid, etc. Beautiful songs where perfection could be found in all aspects: the rhythm, the instrumentalization, the sounds. And especially the lyrics. In short, it was poetry turned into song.
What a shame that she has neglected those aspects to venture into such cheap musical genres as hip hop, rap and reggaeton. But I still love her with the same fervor as in childhood.

Something I like about Shakira are the lyrics of her songs. You can notice the dedication she puts into this aspect because some of them are almost poetic and not simple and generic phrases. Even in her most "cheesy" songs I can notice this detail. While other pop stars neglect this aspect, Shakira has always stood out for it. Even Madonna. Although she is my idol, I cannot hide the fact that the lyrics of many of her songs leave a lot to be desired: Don't stop, I'm so stupid, I deserve it, Jimmy Jimmy, Shoo Bee Doo, etc. Too basic. Too much simplicity.

I totally agree with you @Blue Skies Being fans does not turn us into willless beings who will always praise what their artist does. We can also criticize them and that does not mean we should be classified by some extremists as "trolls." For example, I don't like to see Madonna spit when she sings Open Your Heart. Spitting seems unpleasant and vulgar to me whoever does it and we can say it without shame. Because fanaticism is not the same as submission. And many seem not to realize this.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't feel referenced by that image at all. I repeat, not at all.

Yeah Madonna and Christina are my favorite pop queens.  It's not to say I love everything they do.  Like recently with M and the wheelchair incident and I wish Christina would put a little more effort into music.  But still big fans of both.

chaosmen1984mk reacted to Prayer in Why is it so difficult now to find download links for Madonna's first 4 albums and I
Sadly it just the way it goes. The remasters usually become the new main ones and the originals are left behind. Which is a pity.
The 2001 Madonna remasters became the standard editions for those three first albums, and mastering is very different from the originals.
"True Blue" is even worse cause with the 35th digital edition it got an even louder worse mastering and every digital edition of the album was updated with that one.
I'm not against remasters per se, but always keeping the originals, especially on streaming. I don't like the rewriting history part of that when the just upload the new files and delete the originals.
As fas as I know, only Qobuz now has the first 4 albums in their original form/mastering:

chaosmen1984mk got a reaction from Shoful in I’m rewatching The Madame X tour and goddamn how do so many of you think this album i
Madame X is an album where I feel that Madonna finally takes the reins of the entire creative process and not like the previous albums where all the responsibility was that of the producer and where Madonna only followed his instructions without involving me beyond what was due. I always felt this from Hard Candy to Rebel Heart, records where I couldn't find that label that has always characterized Madonna and where any other artist could have sung all the songs on the record and sound exactly the same.
That is why I am glad to be one of the lucky few and with good musical taste to feel that I am in front of a wonderful album that explores sounds from all over the world and that still falls short because there are so many musical genres that were left pending and that it would have been impossible to put them all on a single disc and that is why I would have loved a second part of this beautiful album that from its conception wildly attracted my attention, especially with that mysterious and disconcerting intro that symbolically summarizes the whole Madonna's career: that of a woman who can live so many different lives in one.
