Yeah, I can totally see the next proper tour being a huge global one stretched over 2 years but in 6 week stints with a month or two between each leg. What I'd really love for her to do next though would be a month-long NYC residency with an orchestra for a slower show where she doesn't need to move much but gets to perform all her ballads and all of the songs with amazing string arrangements that never get performed (because the cost of a 20 piece string section)... No dancers, just 50 musicians on stage behind her. Imagine hearing Papa Don't Preach, Frozen, Don't Tell Me, Easy Ride and the whole STR album at Carnegie Hall or The Met. Mainly, I just don't want her to go to her grave without having given I'll Remember and TUTBMP the performance that they deserve.

This has been explained before. The 1982 released 7" single was the version that was cut short by an earlier fade in one of the pre-pressing processes. The 2022 remaster is supposedly the original version of the 7" which had been mastered in '82 as the intended single.

I love Gloria so much, wish she was still performing shows. Maybe she'll be inspired by M to do one last tour. It's 40 years since Miami Sound Machine's first English language album this year and in typical fashion, there is not a peep from her about any special editions or surprises. Sigh...

She's back in London for the opening of her new gym/studio and has been doing a media blitz... No doubt she's hoping for added attention by dropping some famous names at every chance... Funny how quickly 15 years flies by looking at that pic...

Oh they do though. I've worked in several venues with artists having hissy fits about the AC being too cold - just never on stage, it's usually after a soundcheck. It's usually about the temperature rather than just the AC being on, however some (small) venues will only have 'On' or 'Off' mode so it can either be freezing or melting. I guess she had discussed it with the venue in Miami prior to the show and then someone switched it on full blast because of audience complaints perhaps - guessing....
