  1. As we know Ain't No Big Deal was sold to another artist by Stephen Bray and thus not allowed to be on the album. Then it appeared on the Japanese release of Dress You Up and later on the B-side of Papa Don't Preach or True Blue. What happened to allow this to be released on Madonna releases?
  2. 1: This Used To Be My Playground 2: Erotica 3: Deeper & Deeper 4: Rain 5: I'll Remember 6: Secret 7: Take a Bow 8: Human Nature 9: You'll See 10: You Must Love Me 11: Don't Cry For Me Argentina 12: Frozen 13: Ray of Light 14: The Power of Goodbye 15: Beautiful Stranger 16: American Pie 17: Music 18: Don't Tell Me 19: Impressive Instant 20: New Song In this timeline Impressive Instant was a single making Top5 in UK and Top10 in US.
  3. I would to love to see all 3 performed. Trouble is so many singles never performed.
  4. In the UK, I'll Remember is a largely forgotten hit. On its release it had low sales hitting Number 7 on the charts. Very low for a non-album single.
  5. If there had been a Bedtime Stories Tour in 1995 or even a Ray of Light Tour in 1999 then maybe it would have been performed. By the time a tour did emerge in 2001 there were so many songs from 3 studio albums, a compilation and a soundtrack I'll Remember didn'tstand a chance.
  6. Even though Express Yourself and Cherish got good reviews on release neither were big sellers. Both singles sales were way behind the sales of most of Like a Virgin and True Blue singles. Did the fact that CD's were becoming more prominent in the late 80's mean that many who have purchased the earlier albums on vinyl or cassette and then bought again on CD but bought Like a Prayer just once on CD only.
  7. I Can't Forget would have been better on Something to Remember than Once More Chance.
  8. Here in the UK it reached Number 3 and had reasonable sales and airplay but for a non-album single it should have performed better. Her lead singles are usually followed by the album quite quickly which can effect the singles sales but TUTBMP had no place on a Madonna album for over 3 years. Was the gap since IC too long and some fans had moved on?
  9. The first studio album reissue could either end up being the least or the most interesting of all the releases. Not much was recorded for this album that didn't make the final cut. Yes there is Ain't no big deal which is not exactly hard to find. Nor are there many alternate single versions like some of the later albums had. However, if Warners has permission for the many demos and audio liove recordings then this could be a bonanza multi-disc release.
  10. Maybe we will get GHV2 with the radio edit Of Impressive Instant and the unreleased new songs recorded for GHV2.
  11. Agree, during this time in the UK it was the singles from films and the Madonna album that did the best in terms of chart position. Into The Groove (1), Borderline, Holiday, Crazy For You (2) compared to positions 3,4,5 for the 4 Like A Virgin singles and Gambler.
  12. Gambler was not a massive hit in any of the territories it was released in. Only made Top 5 in 3 countries. In the UK its sales were similar to Angel and Dress You Up and they were the 4th and 5th singles released from a high selling album.
  13. If she had never left Warners then maybe Warners would have pushed her for more during the end of their time together. A better video for Give it to Me. A full scale video, more remixes and a better single cover for Miles Away. There would have been no need for a greatest hits album yet but maybe after the next album we wou;ld have got Greatest Hits 3. Any single choices would have been better and better promotion.
  14. Excellent videos and 2 of my favourite Madonna songs, Secret and Human Nature.
  15. Not as good as the 90s videos but better than the late 00s.
