Best... Ray of Light! She really dived deep into her creativity with this one. The lyrics are deep and meaningful. Pure art!

 

Worst... Hard Candy. For the most part, its just trashy, cheap, and forgettable. Not befitting an artist of both her calibre and her years.

I am not a fan of LAP as a whole, although the song writing at times is masterful the themes are too mature (even for her at this age) or too immature like Cherish and Jessie. Also the production has aged it so horribly; we need the remaster because it saves some of this.

 

Worst; Like a Virgin, Bedtime Stories and MDNA.

 

When it comes to urban influences, Bedtime was written perfectly for putting the audience to bed and Hard Candy has worse moments but it wins.

I give it up to Rebel Heart, American Life, and Ray of Light as the strongest lyrically. They contained cut-deep lyrics and perspective-shattering moments! Devil Pray, American Life, and Swim (and so many more).

 

I really only have one album to ever complain about, that being Like A Virgin. It was 80s and singles were what made or broke an album, not the rest fo the tracks. ANd while I love all the singles (Dress You Up In My Love the most!), the lyrics were... meh. They were either lovey-dovey or too doily (Shoo Bee DOo Bee, not even trying to get that one right).

Just relistened to it... It's not as bad as  I remember, but I give praise to LDLHA over it.
