Glad that she hasn't announced all the dates in one go. It makes sense to announce more dates after Eurovision and now I got some time to prepare myself for that. :kitty:

I'm glad it gives me a chance to go again and try for other cities. All 3 of the ones announced were on my itinerary but now I'm gonna have to leave one out, or force my Icon friends to go lol.

Well some are complaining about the lack of cities, not places

Yes, including me. But they go hand in hand. If she had done either more cities or bigger venues, many more fans would get the chance to see her. Because we know it’s a theater tour (and we’ve known for two days) I’ll complain about the lack of cities because that’s what caused me the disappointment today.

Anyway I’ll stop bitching about it soon. It’s great that she’s changing things up - makes it less likely that she gets bored of it and just gives up on music and/or touring altogether... But I need a couple of days to get over my own heartbreak before I can start being happy for her and get back to being excited for the album... Not much else to be excited for now because the DVD is still more than two years away

There is a TON of entitlement in here, y'all.

Let the woman try something new. I'm sorry that it has to be a limited thing and I'm sorry that it's pricey. It's Madonna in smaller, more intimate spaces doing a completely different kind of show from what we're used to for crying out loud! Of course it's exclusive!

Let's pick up the pieces and move along. We still have a new album coming after all!

You all wouldn't have survived 1994-2000!

Madonna, Live Nation and Maverick have announced a series of rare and intimate performances to take place exclusively in theaters, giving fans an opportunity to see Madonna in an environment like they never have before.

Register now through Friday, May 10 at http://madonna.livenation.com.

The Madame X Tour will kick off September 12th at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House in New York and will feature multiple nights of shows in each city including performances at the Chicago Theatre, The Wiltern in Los Angeles, the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the Boch Center Wang Theatre in Boston, The Met Philadelphia and at the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre in 2019.

The Madame X Tour will then resume in early 2020 with performances at the Coliseum in Lisbon, the Palladium in London and at the Grand Rex in Paris.

The Madame X Tour will also visit Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Lisbon, London and Paris. Show information to follow.

Video directed by Jonas Åkerlund. Special thanks to Diplo and spicy margaritas.

I guess I won't see her live this time since she's not coming to Germany and I'm not willing to pay a thousand euros for her show. But I'm still hoping for a normal tour.
And she looks so good in the video!

It lists the cities she's set to perform in. I really don't see why we should keep hoping for more cities to be added when these already amount to a full tour. Why would she announce 10 cities and leave just a couple other cities out?

Well, to prove your point maybe you can post one of her old tour announcements where she lists all dates and cities she was going to perform? Until then - I find this discussion rather pointless.

When the MDNA Tour was announced, it was the whole itinerary (including Australia that was later cancelled). Not all the shows were announced with dates, just like this announcement.

Anyway yes it’s a pointless discussion. I don’t see any indication that more cities will be announced and I don’t want to keep my hopes up for 8 months before it finally becomes clear that it’s not happening - I’m a pessimist by nature and I’m in a bad mood at the moment. I didn’t intend to start a fight, sorry.

Well that won’t be for many years but yeah, her next tour - if she goes on an arena/stadium tour again - will probably be a huge success as it will have been close to 10 years since she last visited most territories.

Huge success my arse! She’s been touring way too much (contrary to what most you here think!) and oversaturated the market. There’s absolutely no demand for her to justify stadium tours anymore. For RHT I could still get a decent ticket from the ticket office on the same day she was playing in Stockholm. Some places (like Russia) they were LITERALLY giving away tickets just to fill the seats so she wouldn’t have to play for half empty venues.

So yes, it’s definitely time for her to change the way she’s touring. Not a day too early!

This is incredibly stupid and sickening.

I am not going. As someone who lives in Knoxville, TN I will either have to fly or drive many hours to see her. I understand that some people have to fly to another continent to see her, and I am not taking away from that, but this is a big deal to me.

Sorry, hard pass. I am very upset about this.

You’re absolutely right about that. But the next time she does a major tour it will almost be ten years since RHT. Those tickets will probably be much more in demand than they would be if she did a major tour now.

She sure knows how to alienate her fans and be sure not to make new fans

Well... a different concept, that's the point, I think it's OK to try some new stuff, she has been doing almost the same concept of show all these years, but it limits the chance of a world tour if the show has many talk moments (You need to understand english very well) but it also gives the posibilty of see her very near, more than in other stages, is a more personal experience, I was thinking that fans would be more than happy with this, but but I have read most of the comments in this topic, and is the opossite :speakno:

I'm not surprised, most of my music is In Japanese, and there in Japan is very common doing different kind of tours, special tours, etc, for example my Queen ayumi hamasaki last year presented her 20th Anniversary Tour in 3 formats: First Part in small venues (Theaters) second part in Halls and 3rd part in arenas, with different setlists in every part, this year is on a Hall Tour, but in April she did a 'Special 21st Anniversary Tour in Arenas, when the nuclear disaster happened she did an orchestral tour in order to not cancell the tour, etc, etc

About the Lottery, I have to talk again about Japan, artists always make this kind of Lottery for fan clubs, if Mdolla's thing is this way, The Lottery is for the chance to buy a ticket, and more knowing that a Teather has more limited sittings, so you register and if you are selected, you can buy the tickets, and surely very bad seats will be left to general sell, if any left, I dont think that the lottery will be for a random seat.

Since Medellin, for me is all about waiting, maybe the album is great...
