A Greatest Hits Tour After Madame X?

Honestly...only under a few conditions:

  • It's not a PURE greatest hits tour. There are a lot of hits that she never performed or has forgotten about. It's time to shed some light on those.
  • It follows a storyline and isn't just a loose bunch of random songs thrown together.
  • I'm here for medleys if that means making room for more than just 22 songs.
  • The songs will have to be rearranged. Kevin Antunes has been serving really whack album version remakes for the last two tours. Let Diplo, Mike Dean or Stuart Price handle the tour arrangements.

This all the way. And what I'd give to see Stuart Price help!

I think she will do a greatest hits tour, and if she does, I think it will be her last tour. I think we will probably see another album from her, but I'm not 100% sure she will tour it, because I don't see Madonna doing this at 70 like some artists because M does a very different show. I think M will go more into trying to direct more films, but who knows.

I would call it, "TAKE A BOW" and it would ONLY have hits. No obscure album tracks, just songs that charted well that people will remember.

In NO particular order because this is pretty much a release timeline

  1. Holiday
  2. Lucky Star
  3. Borderline
  4. Like A Virgin
  5. Material Girl
  6. Crazy for You
  7. Dress You Up
  8. Live To Tell
  9. Papa Don't Preach
  10. Open Your Heart
  11. La Isla Bonita
  12. Like A Prayer
  13. Express Yourself
  14. Cherish
  15. Vogue
  16. Rain
  17. I'll Remember
  18. Secret
  19. Take A Bow
  20. Frozen
  21. Ray of Light
  22. Music
  23. Don't Tell Me
  24. Hung Up

I don't think so, not at all. Madonna doesn't put on boring shows. If the set-list was mixed up enough it would work well. We are talking about a greatest hits tour, and those are her greatest hits according to the charts. If M wasn't touring an album this is exactly the sort of show that the general public would expect and the kind of show that would sell.

Love both of these setlists, particularly like the idea of her opening with Music. That’d really get a stadium audience going!

I really think she should at this point. She can make new music again. Give the public what they want. A proper career retrospective. I didn't do medleys (I hate them) so some songs had to be left out.

No, as long as she's still capable of making new music and exploration of her artistry, I'd vouch for a tour of new material, album cuts and some classics to balance it out. A GH tour would be beyond boring for her and it'd show on her face.

Personally, I would love a Greatest Hits Tour under the conditions that it does have fan favourite and forgotten singles such as Angel, Nothing Really Matters, Rescue Me thrown in so it isn’t entirely predictable, and it would need to have a huge budget, great costumes and interludes, and someone other than Kevin Antunes for solid tour arrangements. Stuart Price or Patrick Leonard preferably.

If only. I would die for Stuart to come back and fully give her back catalog the reworks he did for a lot of it during CT.

Knowing our luck we'll have Aldo Diaz as graphic designer and Kevin will stay with the 9th rendition of Candy Shop behind an Instagram filter alternating between studio vocals, different dates and long hair/short hair Madonna.

I hate how realistic that sounds...

But yes an arena and stadium greatest hits tour with Stuart Price as the musical director is my dream.

If a big Hollywood biopic actually happens and it’s a success then it’d sort of make sense to tour the soundtrack/greatest hits then.

I think this would be a great idea! I would love to see gems such as: The Power of Goodbye, Paradise (Not for Me) (I realize she performed this during Confessions, but I'd like to see it again!), What It Feels Like For A Girl, Sooner or Later (I Always Get My Man), and - very much in particular - Spanish Eyes. I realize this last one wasn't a "great hit", but I'd love to see her perform it, as it is so beautiful! I'd also like to see True Blue and This Used to Be My Playground.

If she were to do a Greatest Hits Tour, she would have to leave a few songs out, though. I'm getting pretty sick of: Holiday, Like a Virgin, Like a Prayer, and Music. Great songs, but enough is enough!

I get the feeling she won't ever do this type of tour, though. To do a Greatest Hits Tour - I think, to her - would mean retirement, something she probably is dead set against.
