The Battle of "Freedom"!

Madonna wrote and recorded two songs named "Freedom".  The first was back in 1994 which originally was part of the Bedtime Stories project, but eventually appeared on the Carnival! The Rainforest Foundation album.  Then she recorded another song, using the same name during the Rebel Heart project.   It never was officially released, but surfaced with all the demos back in 2014/15.  Below are the two audios just in case you haven't listened to them in a while or may not know of them very well.  So which "Freedom" do you prefer?

Although they have never been fan favourites, I love them both!

Love the groove of the 1994 song and I voted for this one.

The RH is a little "preacher Madonna" but I like the melody and her voice in those demos!

Rebel heart demo is pretty cool I think and the lyrics are way better than holy water and bitch I’m Madonna so I don’t know why it wasn’t included at least on the rebel heart super deluxe version - there was certainly enough space on 2 cd ?

I love the production and groove of the 94 version though I can see why it was a outtake.

Freedom '15 has good vocals and I love how she sings it. Good melody but the speech is a little cringe and sounds out of place. Love the outro of the song as well.

Can't choose unfortunately.

2 things:

Freedom which was originally recorded in 1994 was first commercially available in 1997, so shouldn't it be called Freedom '97?

Freedom from the Rebel Heart sessions was recorded in 2014 so why call it '15 when it wasn't even considered in the final tracklist? 

Anyway, I've always loathed the first Freedom cause it's really a shit song lmao so I voted for 'IGTTYAS Freedom' instead

1. Is time really an issue here?  It doesn't change how one would vote or chime in on their thoughts in which they like better?

2.  I did mentioned 2014 in the original post.  It still comes from the sessions from an album released in 2015.  Again, it doesn't change the intent of this thread/poll.

The 2nd song sounds a little too Coca Cola for me.
The '94 song is way better.
She should have gave it to Candi Staton or someone like that 'in secret'.

Whoa!!!  Did you guys catch the "I Rise" quote in the 2015 version?! Never put that together before.
