Fever (Album Version) or Fever (Edit One)?

Recommended Posts

Listening to Erotica today while working on my thesis and I've never enjoyed the album version of "Fever" as much as the Edit One remix of it to where I substituted the remix of it on my custom Erotica track listing. Even adding "Goodbye to Innocence" in the place of "Did You Do It?" My question; which do you prefer?

Feel free to add any other remixes (official or fan made of the song you prefer)

Both for me. Actually all versions of Fever. It's one of my favourite M songs, even though it's a cover. My favourite M performance of all time is Fever in the Girlie Show (close second is Deeper and Deeper in Rebel Heart Tour).

Just love it! :)

When Erotica was released 'Did You Do It?' was only on the CD version of the album. It wasn't included on the cassette version.

Edit One although the Album Version is amazing. One of my favourite singles with some great remixes and a underrated video.

I was surprised when I learned the video allegedly received criticism for being dull and uninteresting. I thought it suited the song perfectly.

I personally prefer the Edit One version of the song and I wish they’d included it on Erotica and replaced Did You Do It? with Goodbye To Innocence so much.

M did want Erotica to sound like it was recorded in an NYC alley. I assume that's why Did You Do It? was included. Yet it is a track the album could have done without seriously. I always skip past it.

As for Goodbye to Innocence, if that was recorded with more a R&B vibe, it would have fitted perfectly on Bedtime Stories.
