Burning Up.

Even as a kid, I always felt drawn more to the songs Madonna wrote vs those written by others. 

Lucky Star and Burning Up were always more fun to listen to than Holiday or Borderline. 

Same thing with Angel and Into the Groove. I always preferred them over Material Girl or Dress You Up.

Burning Up. Borderline is a different sort.   I love both, but I love when she gets more rock.  It's not her normal expected style, but I feel she does well with a rock song.  I like when she rocks out with her songs on tour.

Burning Up (Single Version). This is the first song I heard from Madonna in my local radio station. I recorded the song in a cassette, but I lost the cassette.  I even didn't know the artist name so I couldn't buy the single in 1983. In 1987 I bought "The first Album" and I was so happy when I re-discovered "Burning Up" in the album. Burning Up was a Madonna's song!!!

 

I'm sorry, but I love these stories before to be a real fan.

Borderline by a far margin. Burning Up was never one of my favorites but I do appreciate it as a song and when she's done it live.

I’d have said Borderline up to a fortnight ago, but then I started messing around with the Burning Up multi and theres a great synth pop song in there underneath the guitar, so I prefer that now.

Burning Up. Its a fantastic song, and I very much enjoy both the demos and the released tracks. Borderline, though by far, not a bad song, has never been a favourite of mine. It's one I always tend to skip.

Never in a million years thought we'd hear her play it.  So when she did at RIT I lost it in a most embarrassing manner in the isle of the upper tier!........i can't quench my desire.  What a song.

No question, Bordeline. One of my favorites songs of the singer (and also my favorite of his first album). I love the sound of the arrangements, the music video and it's also one of the best single of his career.
