Audio Balancing?

Recommended Posts

Hi kids. I’ll start off by saying I have a Mac, and I use iTunes.

So, like all of us here, I download music. Free not free whatever. I’m wondering if there’s a way to balance all of the volume on my playlists. Like some songs sounds normal and great on speakers, and then the next song is super quiet and I have to turn it up. That makes the next song super loud... it’s just annoying.

Any suggestions on how to make each song balance volume wise?

Right click on the song, then 'information', then 'options' and u will see the audio balance. If u do the same process (right click on the full album cover) u can balance all the songs in general.
I hope this helps you!

Yeah I’ve been doing that for years. It’s just tiresome since some are generally lower in volume than others. I suppose I have to face the tedious task of doing them one by one to sound somewhat balanced lol.

I just thought there was a program out there that would recognize the sound output to match it with others that are more normally balanced.

Isn't this what the sound check feature under preferences/playback is supposed to do? I've never used it, but it thought it adjusted everything to the same volume level.

Interesting. I never noticed that I’ll check it out!
