If each studio album had a perfect run of six singles, what songs would you choose to complete the era?

The rules:

Six only for each era and those six must include the songs that were already officially released as singles

Soundtrack songs that were added onto the album such as Live To Tell / Die Another Day / American Pie are included.

Obviously Like A Prayer & Erotica Era are exempt because we truly got the perfect six single run for both...but there's 12 other studio albums

EG.

MUSIC :

  1. American Pie
  2. Music
  3. Don' Tell Me
  4. What It Feel Like For A Girl
  5. Impressive Instant
  6. Gone

AMERICAN LIFE :

  1. Die Another Day
  2. American Life
  3. Hollywood
  4. Love Profusion
  5. Nothing Fails
  6. Nobody Knows Me

Let's av em

Yeah if one era deserved six singles it was Rebel Heart. Madness really that there were only three and the first to not use the title track of the album as a single. In fact Rebel Heart should really qualify for at least 8 singles if not 10. I do wish they'd kept the double album and released them separately. The hackers really fucked up what could have been an absolutely iconic incredible era. The lack of promo singles compared to Madame X or American Life was paltry.

  1. Living For Love
  2. Ghosttown
  3. Bitch Im Madonna
  4. Devil Pray
  5. Body Shop
  6. Iconic
  7. Best Night
  8. Joan Of Arc
  9. Unapologetic BItch
  10. Rebel Heart

Mmm interesting!

Let's try "MDNA" cause I'm sure I'll be the only one doing it

01. Masterpiece (From "W.E."), soundtrack single but later on the album (same as "Live To Tell" or "Die Another Day").

02. Radio (Turn Up The Radio renamed and maybe revamped a little bit, chorus is repetitive but the verses are perfect and 100% classic Madonna) - official lead single.

03. Addicted (I'm Addicted renamed).

04. Beautiful Killer

05. I Don't Give A (Feat. Nicki Minaj to help promotion)

06. Love Spent

Later a reissue with "Girls Gone Wild" with Britney and "Some Girls" remixed.  "Gang Bang" is great and fans love it (including myself) but it's not a commercial song at all.

I love so many songs from that album, I know it's not perfect and definitely not her best but it's fun and deep/hurt after divorce at the same time. I think it captured well that moment in her life and some lyrics are very honest.

And the tour was her last great big show, everything changed from the "Rebel Heart Tour"... the "MDNA Tour" was like her last gift to us in that aspect.

OBSERVATIONS:

- It was getting hard for me to tone down the entire tracklisting starting from Confessions on a Dance Floor then MDNA. The hardest ones have to be Rebel Heart and Madame X.
- I did my best to include singles as personally, they embody the overall atmosphere of each album (but sorry, The Power of Goodbye, I had to make room for Mer Girl.)
- Toning down the tracklisting really changed the overall vibe of some albums. Madame X turned into a more political and social album, for instance. Confessions on a Dancefloor somehow did a full 180 and became dark from Let It Will Be to Like it Or Not.
