secret garden and in this life o heck all of erotica when at first listen

That song is about her vagina.

It's such a beautiful song to be honest, definitely not weird at all. Really demonstrates the depth of her creativity. One of my all time favourite songs.

Dark Ballet—the interlude in the middle was cool but that's the only part of the song worth listening to

Bitch I'm Madonna-No. Just no

Act of Contrition-the one "song" on LAP that I can live without. It really brings the album down

Mother and Father-good lyrics, messy production and shrill vocals (oh Mutha ohh fatha.......arg)

I Rise-generic ballad, nice lyrics

Impressive Instant-messy song, awful songwriting. "I like to singy singy singy, like a bird on a wingy wingy wingy"-those lyrics NEVER fail to crack me up ?

That’s sacrilege - it completes the album.

Weird Madonna is often the best Madonna. Unhibited, unfiltered, uncensored, free.

My fave "weird" M songs are ("Weird" largely being a subjective matter):

- Secret Garden (go, vagina, go!)

- Bedtime Story (A Björk song, after all! Grateful grapefruit!)

- Mer Girl (So introspective and beautiful!)

- Cyberraga (Shanti/Ashtangi part II)

- Mother & Father (the paradox between the seriousness of the lyrics and the quirkiness of the vocal delivery is striking!)

- Dark Ballet (Well... rather obvious in its madness... brilliant!)
