If Madonna goes back to an old project

Let’s say Madonna was gonna go back to an old album/soundtrack and pick a song to release as a single with a high budget music video and a vinyl release, what would you choose? You can submit choices from her entire back catalogue from which only one she might choose. Forget the chart performance, forget everything. Just pick something you’d like to see visualized and released today, just like Broken was released to ICON but with a music video.

I choose:

1. Easy Ride

2. Mer Girl

3. Wash All Over Me

4. Why’s It So Hard

5. Rebel Heart

6. Looking for Mercy

7. Gang Bang

8. Sky Fits Heaven

9. How High

10. Isaac

11. Nothing Fails

12. Beautiful Killer

13. I’m Addicted

14. To Have and Not to Hold

15. Devil Pray

16. God Control (needs to be on vinyl)

17. Nobody Knows Me

18. Mother and Father

19. Looking for Mercy

20. Paradise (Not for Me)

Guest Nobody Knows Me

Forbidden Love ‘94 could have been a big hit since radio stations ate up Take a Bow and anything by Babyface around that time. It would have made sense to release it to go with Something to Remember in 1995.

Other songs I’d choose are:

Where’s the Party

Till Death Do Us Part

Rescue Me

Don’t Stop (not her best song but would have been a hit with a good video)

Swim

God Control (as an official single)

I said it already in 2015, Avicii's more upbeat version of Rebel Heart, with a video of Madonna visiting the old locations for eg. the Borderline, Papa don't preach, La isla bonita etc. sets... maybe even Madonna looking at her old selves at those locations...

Videos for all of these

Rescue Me

Keep It Together

Waiting

Why's It So Hard

Words

Secret Garden

Forbidden Love 94

Sanctuary

Skin

Impressive Instant

Runaway Lover

Nothing Fails

I would say all the non-single Confessions tracks  - but the live versions from the Confessions tour so great further videos are not really needed

Beat Goes On

Devil Wouldn't Recognise You

Miles Away (new video)

Beautiful Killer

Love Spent

I Don't Search I Find

Going through this you realise that Warner Bros/Madonna totally picked the right singles from the albums throughout her career up to MDNA. Even if I would like videos for these ones too I think her strongest songs generally did get videos made

I would love her  also to revisit some old tracks by commissioning really good remixes to be done that maybe missed out of getting good remixes first time around - namely her last 3 albums suffered from a lack of care with the remixes with very few good ones coming from official remixers. Would love her to have further remixes of her back catalogue even the more obscure tracks by the likes of the 90s gods like Danny Tengalia, Deep Dish, Sasha, Masters at Work, David Morales, Murk and let them pick what they want to work on
