1. Have you ever heard it on the radio? If so, which version if you can recall?

1 & 2 I heart TUTBMP in radios, the version was the shorter found in the album Barcelona Gold, it´s official and this is the one called Album Version.

Radio in the UK played the single version from what I remember but never til the end. Radio stations would quite often do thier own edits on the chart run downs. Radio 1 would regularly edit out the whole second verses of songs as they were on their way down the chart. 
The Barcelona Gold version was not widely available at all.

The radio stations plays the version they have (for example, a local radio station in Spain played every day during the summer of 1989 the full 7:58 version of "Express Yourself" because Warner send to them the commercial 12'' vinyl instead the promotional 7'') .

 I mean, it's rare to send to a small local radio station a full Album, only singles. So, at least in Spain, they played the single version of TUTBMP in local radio stations. But I remember the promotion of "Barcelona Gold" as full album, so they played the "album version" too in big radio stations ("Barcelona Gold" was called "the official music album of the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992")

In short: the radio stations played the version that Warner send to them.

Unless it was something like that as Steady says it was never all the way through that I ever heard on UK radio.

Yeah they only used to have 3 hours to play the entire top 40 so edits were made in house often

In the States they played the 5min version and I heard it on the radio a lot back then

In Canada they were definitely playing the single version on the radio

Yes of course. They played it all of the time. It was form a #1 hit movie and was a #1 hit summer ballad. And the video was played on both MTV and VH! heavily!

If she had a 5 minute long sad slow ballad, this was what we would hear then.

The radio followed Madonna, not Madonna followed the radio.

I've just downloaded the rar file and I don't have any problem. Delete the file and try to download the rar file again. Use Winrar to extract the files.

 

Check the file size: 508 MB (533,075,824 bytes)

Madonna has a perfect and incredibly underrated voice for ballads. Have you ever heard of a song she wrote for Hellp Suckers? It's called "Is this Love". I instantly wept when I heard it. While were on that note, I hate it when people dismiss her talent.
