1. Her music/artistry/voice/image/trend setting etc is the main thing.
2. Her career, the way she was so strong and such a fantastic role model for women. very much in charge of her career and not afraid to do what she wants and make tough decisions (though past 5-10 years of career decisions I am still on the fence about).
3. Her acceptance and attitude towards love, expressing yourself etc. Madonna opened up my mind and awareness to a lot of social issues I was never particularly aware or cognisant of, at times when they weren't particular prominent or discussed in the circles I grew up in.
