I have such fond mems of Beautiful Stranger. I was living in London at the time and working in Soho. One night out in Heaven nightclub I happened upon this boy dancing topless living his best life. An indie kid with a bod (think Dan Imagine Dragons). we got talking and just connected. He was so free and so utterly beautiful. We spent the night together in the club. One of those nights where all bets are off and it was just a vibe. He talked to everyone he wanted.  No hang ups, no agenda..ju

I think this is the first promo album I ever bought, from an ad in the Record Collector. Wrote my order on a piece of paper, went to the post office to get a money order (for the exact amount!) and sent it all off. Then waited, and waited, and waited. Didn't know what the tracklisting would be or what sleeve it would come in. 

When it finally arrived I nearly wet myself with excitement. The picture of the cover still gives me a little tingle even now.

If it happens at all. Would be a nice lead into the Who’s That Girl / Causing A Commotion EP recently released on vinyl finally up on streaming.

I know I maybe be nitpicking but the original full-length version of Crazy for You is not included on Something to Remember. The version on Something to Remember is an early fade that was made to mimic the official 7" version. It's also remastered, so again a different version although only slightly different.

Both, the original album version of Crazy for You (4:12) and the 7" Fade (3:54) are not available on streaming, the latter isn't even available digitally.

Honey, you need to give up this dreaming about expanded editions. These two songs do not belong on Like a Virgin. Aside from that, getting these singles on streaming does not mean that they won't be included on those re-releases. That said, I'd rather have demos and early versions as bonus tracks over stuff that was already released or belongs on a single release. Putting remixes or edits on expanded editions is shameful and lazy.

Either way, if they didn't include the Who's That Girl songs on the expanded version of True Blue, why the hell would they put the Vision Quest songs on there?

Because the Who’s That Girl era and soundtrack was part of a tour a proper Madonna Movie and Tour that came way after the True Blue Era had ended. 

The Vision Quest and Susan songs landed right in the middle of the Like A Virgin  release schedule. Indeed UK versions of the album included Into The Groove. 
It also felt like more part of that Legend making era. Live To Tell was included on True Blue. I don’t think it’s out of the realms boo.

Isn't the Everybody release for November 25th referring to the RSD release?  Or are they planning to expand on releasing more mixes digitally as well on November 25th?

So, I've compared this release of YCD - Single Edits from Qobuz to the tracks from the 1987 Promo CD. I took a very fast look at them at Spek, and ran them through Audacity to compare them. To my ears they don't sound bad at all, but, quite curiously to me, they are not exactly the same files.

All of them run at the same speed through the whole thing, which indicate they come from the same master, but they sound a little bit... tweaked - all the tracks from the 2022 release are cutoff at a slightly lower frequency.

Additional things I noted (current release compared to the 87 promo CD):
For Holiday, Everybody, Physical Attraction and Into The Groove, the volume is a bit lower; in Over And Over, it is a bit louder; and in Where's The Party, there is some variation in this matter
In Everybody, Into The Groove and Where's The Party the bass is not as prominent/or the treble is enhanced. I can't say this for sure, as my ears are untrained for this.

Anyway, I think it's curious that they are not the exact same tracks, as they were using the tracks from Promo CDs for other releases of this campaigns, but not for this one. The differences are very subtle (at least to me), but I wonder why there are there at all, as it wouldn't make sense to alter the tracks just this much.
