This YCD single edits release is a treat. The singles are perfect for streaming and may reach a new audience, at least get some use on social media short formats.

Jellybean, Pettibone and the other producers added more kick, played with song structures, pitched her vocals. This very 80s club treatment fits perfectly the sped-up trend, even if it didn't rely on the same technology, obviously.

M and WB must have watched closely the streaming performance of each FEL track, and I'm quite sure the first third of the compilation has worked better than the heavily remixed and reproduced rest, which almost don't have much to do with the album/radio versions. M's legacy relies on the sound that defined her success.

A very large majority of people and casual M listeners haven't heard these YCD versions, they can renew the interest in M's first years, just like the Immaculate versions gave new youth to the early 80s hits during the 90s. Life is a circle.

But on the "You Can Dance" album on Spotify, it's not the version that seques from "Everybody". It's the Madonna album version instead of the You Can Dance version.

With “mixed” I meant it as in blending into the previous or the next track. On the CD version, Everybody blends into Physical Attraction which fades out regularly. The version on Spotify does not have the cross-fade. They have simply uploaded the regular album version from “Madonna”.

For Holiday, Everybody, Physical Attraction and Into The Groove, the volume is a bit lower; in Over And Over, it is a bit louder; and in Where's The Party, there is some variation in this matter
In Everybody, Into The Groove and Where's The Party the bass is not as prominent/or the treble is enhanced. I can't say this for sure, as my ears are untrained for this.

Anyway, I think it's curious that they are not the exact same tracks, as they were using the tracks from Promo CDs for other releases of this campaigns, but not for this one. The differences are very subtle (at least to me), but I wonder why there are there at all, as it wouldn't make sense to alter the tracks just this much.

I checked the files in Audacity too, I don't have the promo cd but I found it here. Considering all the above you said, same source and everything. Although I noticed tape noise at the end on each track. For Physical Attraction the volume is higher on my test. Everybody, Over and Over, Into the Groove & Where's the Party have different waveforms in general.

I think those are pre-mastered mixes (final mixes but not mastered) or at least not mastered for cd, maybe vinyl masters (?), less bass etc. But I personally like the promo cd sound.

Also does anyone checked the Rain digital EP? I only have the European CD and noticed minor volume differences mostly. (But I always prefer to compare the local releases if available. xD)

I was just reading the Bye Bye Baby wikipedia, they say she recorded it in Astoria, NY where I currently live. "Neat". There is a discogs page where someone tries to figure out if the current Soundworks in Astoria is the same studio as Sound Works Astoria to no avail. They really tried, too.

I'm currently celebrating by playing the Red Vinyl released in 2018.   Sounds Great in 2022!! 

In comparison, the Vinyl sounds better than both Rebel Heart and Madame X Vinyls.
