Yeah, the first thing I noticed was that the video and audio were out of synch. Very noticeable when she's singing the slowed down middle 8. That's not something I had ever noticed before.

Sigh. If only she hadn't taught us to be such perfectionists!

It seems to have been fixed? It wasn't out of synch on my TV. The movement of the lips matched the song pretty well

They merged both versions of the Madonna album and removed the “re-issue” label for her first three albums. It also seems that a lot of her song plays have also been merged. 👀

I have hope they will fix the Borderline single at some point.

Yes, they deleted the regular "Madonna" album and just left the 2001 reissue without the "Reissue" tag... but no merged songs so far apart from "Borderline", the album version!

They're really taking their time with all this tiny tinkering. And why is Everybody singled out as being tagged as the 'Original Version'. This has always bothered me.

I think Everybody is singled out because its the original full length version that wasn't part of the album ie it replaced the album fade when reissued.

Looks good but still out of synch. Hasn't been fixed. It's also a shame they didn't use the extended 5:39 version from the original VHS video single.

Wait, where is that version? Never seen it!

Well, I believe they're preparing ground for  remastered reissues.

The VHS video single was a US limited edition that was available through Icon first, before leftover copies hit retail. It has an exclusive longer version of the video that’s never been issued anywhere else. 30 seconds of extra footage.

This can't be true. It's 2023, it would have been on the Internet for years now. Every other thing is, it's not like she's this obscure indie singer.

Anyone here has the VHS? My guess is the running time includes a little intro (remember how Warner always included an intro with the title on "The Immaculate Collection" and "93:99" too) and maybe the closing credits.

But I'd be happy to discover an official longer version of the video 25 years later, of course.
