I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but this is quite disappointing.  I really was thinking they were going re-release more 40th Anniversary single/ remixes.  This has taken a weird turn!

EDIT:  The more I think about it; the more I appreciate a release like this.  This isn't just a re-issue of what's already out there.  This is new and a limited release that collectors like myself will want to have.  I'm just anxious for the re-issues expanded sets, that this came unexpected.  This is why I try to never "expect" from Madonna.  You set yourself up for disappointment by doing so.

Oh, I know it will happen.  And the more I think about it, I retract what I said above.  This is going to be a rare Madonna item as it's a "new" release of unreleased remixes.  I also love Peter's mixes.

It's not even the 2001 remaster, it's the 2021 "True Blue 35th" remaster. So now we have three "True Blue" digital editions:

- "True Blue 35th"

- "True Blue" Reissue/2001 Remaster

- "True Blue"

But the first 9 regular album tracks are the same 2021 "remasters" (or whatever they did then to boost the volume). It would be great to have the 2001 remaster with the 2001 versions and the original album with the 1986 version, so everyone can listen to their faves instead of being forced to listen to the 2021 remaster (I hate it).

I'd say they are preparing the ground for the 40th anniversary version and the 2001 reissue and 35th collection will disappear at some stage.

Mmhm somehow I don't think so. The 40th anniversary won't happen until 2026! I doubt they're planning things that advanced.

Hmmmm, we'll see. When i said 40th I was referring the 40th year of her career. I have a feeling they're going to roll the reissues out in batches, so we could easily get the first three albums announced together and staggered over the year. Although messy is on brand as well, so who knows. At least we know they're doing things behind the scenes which keeps us on high alert at all times!
