Actually, I always thought Gambler would have fit perfectly in the RHT setlist on guitar instead of Burning up, which was literally fire, but a bit similar to the RIT version.

And yes, people requested Gambler during the S&S request section but she kindly said no:

Alas, the person on Popjustice says it has the 1985 date on it, so this release looks like it's getting the 'American Pie' treatment and buried at the bottom of the pile without a push to Spotify release radar (which requires a 2022 release initially). Would be a crying shame if this is true after all the effort to get it released. Still time to amend Warner / Rhino if you're reading this! Perhaps it's just a mistake.

Also there is no 7” version and the instrumental is not a remix either . Never understood why warners / Gefen labelled it as that - same with like a virgin and material girl 7” versions when they are just the album versions 🤔

Instrumental is indeed a Remix, it is not a instrumental of the Album/7'' Version.

Very happy that all of her singles are going to be on streaming! Now I think it's just missing some b-sides, right?
