The instrumental part with the dancers?

The original strings are heavily influenced by Vivaldi but on the interlude bit I don't recall any particular piece or sample play. It has like 3/4 episodes of music, one even like a Tango around the main string chords. They keep it baroque but playful.

Yeah the instrumental part. Especially the closing. I guess it’s just something they came up with on the tour arrangement to compliment the intro.

I have a friend who loves classical music and knows much about it and I asked that question too... He said that it didn't sound familiar to him, that for him it was something done just for the tour.

Lol, I though it was inspired by Batman. The end sounds like a Danny Elfman type composition. Though that seems like an odd thing to do

That is exactly it. Batman movie and music  score (May 89) along with Prince's linked album came out exactly a year prior to BA which was obviously a huge marketing success lasting at the box office for 6 months. Dick Tracy was expected to match that success. The Batman "tribute" was right before the Dick Tracy segment of the show.
