Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones

Recommended Posts

2 CD’s would only house 18 songs at four minutes like a celebration and they wouldn’t really be full remixes. Some of her single are 6 mins long.
if it’s a physical product it’s 3 CDs minimum which is still only 17 tracks on each.
I think we’re probably looking at 4 CD’s or two double CD’s a part one and part two.

or a single CD of a selection of new remixes and a digital collection of historic remixes that didn’t make it onto the single disc.

god knows tbh. 50

is a lot is all.

Which is why it makes more sense to be a mixxtape release on spotify. If it released on physical i would imagine it would be a limited release thats hella expensive maybe an online exclusive.

I don't know and have the same curiosity, but I can't help noticing that first the Frozen mix thing and now Material girl going viral are happening right after the beginning of the Warner deal

It's a thing... viral songs are manufactured by record companies.

I'm pretty sure this will be a physical release as well. After all this is the kind of project described in the Warner press release

If it is im sure a very limited run. First of all people who actually buy cds to listen to...let's just say a rare breed nowadays. Second of all....50 songs. It would HAVE to be several discs 2 disc min if heavily edited. The rare breed of people who still listen to CDs i have a feeling arent willing to drop cash on a multiple disc set. 3rd of all...unless its new mixes, all have been already available on CD minus the 80s stuff. 4th of all...what stores even still sell cds much less a multiple disc collection. Doubt your local Walmart or Target is gonna sell this. Maybe if it was 1999 and Sam Goody or Camelot Music were still poppin' but alas 2022 is the year it is. A physical release only would appeal to collectors so yeah...

Well they’ll probably do what most artists do. Put it out there for preorder months in advance and print according to demand.

Most releases like this sell really well with the physical format being popular again. Especially since it’s a best of.

I just pray they’ll use an iconic catchy cover.

Well unless it's just a single disc i don't see many people getting it. If they do a physical, it needs to look special and be a limited edition...when people hear limited I think it creates more of a demand

I disagree. There are plenty of multiple disc releases that sell just fine.
And for Madonna it’s lucrative to do physical releases since she has a pretty loyal fan base that are willing to open up their wallets.
I’m sure Warner wouldn’t have made the reissues deal unless there was a good market for that

I'm sure for the album re-releases but a random remix collection? Nah. Dont get me wrong, i would love it but it would just end up in my closet with other collectibles.

It’s not a random collection. It’s most of her greatest hits. Aside from her fans I’m sure a lot of collectors that are passionate about pop music will snatch it. Especially if the packaging looks attractive.

Off the top of my head I know at least 3 non fans who would spend a pretty penny on such a release

i honestly prefer to have physical copies, along with digital. cause ive had many times where a drive has just died and ive lost everything. so having a physical back up is always good. plus im one of those buy multiple versions people. lol. I  just never really liked not having some sort of hard copy. streaming is cool if im to lazy to load up my files or put a cd in the player..but alas if your internet goes out..no music. im old but i have embraced pretty much every way to consume music.
