Managed to get the red vinyl, but it’s sold out of the box set vinyl on her store and on rhinos too…

They WILL release more won’t they? Won’t they?!

Oh damn...

I've managed to resist the red vinyl for two days, but your post pushed me over the edge, and I had to order a copy. :)

This is almost perfect for me. But I would have used the remixed versions of Lucky Star, Like A Virgin and Material Girl. And the Dance Mix Edit of Angel from the Japanese 7". You could also remove Into The Groove and add Me Against The Music back in. That makes it 50. Then have a bonus disc of the complete promo You Dance Single Edits. That would include Into The Groove anyway and would make an absolute comprehensive edition of her Number ones!

... And I like the concept of editing the original remixes. I never thought of that. The time on Into the Groove is cut in half and it makes the remix so much fresher, cleaner and upbeat. I look forward to hearing all of the new edits.

As excited as I am - and I really am! : I think there will be no NEW edits; almost all of them were released in the year of the actual single release, and most of these edits are or were available on promotional releases. The remix edit of Into The Groove is actually 35 years old! So I think there is no concept of editing old remixes, which - yes! - could have made them even more fresher and cleaner... but it's probably a better choice not to edit them again:  I don't trust Mike Dean! :cryin2:

I'm glad they release the good old stuff! :04:

What I find a little bit curious is that they think that the general public would be open to a three disc 6 vinyl remix collection ...but wouldn't issue a standard 3 disc greatest hits of the versions the general public would actually know. Like...all those ballads and midtempo's that were just ditched.

Like I'm cute for the remix boxset but it's a bit of a weird flex all in all. I imagine this re-release campaign is likely to be all about shoving the "numbers" in the General Publics faces as a reminder of her actual achievements and records.

I also don't know why and I'm not moved to purchase a damn thing yet. Flop fan. I think i'll wait and see what else is to come tbh. I have most of these and I'm actually more excited about having them on streaming platforms so it's win win.

I'm positive there will be more of the sold out vinyls to come. This is a money making scheme and if it sells out on day one it's really not doing the business it could be.

I'm willing to bet there will be a ballads collection down the road. These reissues are gonna sell like hot cakes and they will milk her discography to no end. And I don't think they'll just simply reissue Something To Remember; I think it will be a collection of her ballads/mid tempo singles.

Side A:

1. Crazy For You

2. Live To Tell

3. La Isla Bonita

4. The Look of Love

5. Oh Father

Side B:

6. Sooner Or Later

7. This Used To Be My Playground

8. Bad Girl

9. Rain

Side C:

10. I'll Remember

11. Secret

12. Take A Bow

13. You'll See

14. Don't Cry For Me Argentina

15. You Must Love Me

Side D:

16. Frozen

17. Drowned World/Substitute For Love

18. The Power of Goodbye

19. What It Feels Like For A Girl

Side E:

20. Nothing Fails

21. Miles Away

22. Masterpiece

23. Ghosttown

24. Crave

Standard Edition:

1. Crazy For You

2. Live To Tell

I'm maybe the only one who gets freaking excited at the thought of my favorite songs on physical format, even tho it's a compilation and not new music? Knowing I'll finally get the alternative mixes of WIFLFAG, ROL, Celebration, Sorry, Hung Up, Impressive Instant, Music, NRM, DCFMA on CD soon really makes me super enthusiastic and hyped, I can't wait!

I hope they're smart enough to do this. I remember when before the WB announcement her team asked fans how would they like in a STR 2.0 or something like that and many were theorizing a follow up was on the way, maybe it really is now
