True but in reality there are less tracks "mergeable" than we think:

"Like A Virgin": Album Version + "Finally Enough Love" 7'' Version -> 204M

"Material Girl": "Celebration" Version + Album Version + "Finally Enough Love" 7'' Version -> 348M

"Like A Prayer": "Celebration" Version + Album Version -> 329M

The rest can not really be merged cause they're different lengths and versions: "4 Minutes" Celebration is an edit shorter than the "Hard Candy" Album Version, "Ray Of Light" Celebration vs Album same, "Frozen" Celebration extended vs Album, "Holiday" full length and edit, "Vogue" Immaculate/Celebration vs Album Edit and Single Version, etc. etc.

I don't really think they should merge different edits of her songs (e.g. single edit + album version). However, there are versions of the same edit which appear on separate releases which aren't merged. Now that is maddening. There are the obvious ones such as Material Girl and Like A Prayer album versions not merged with the Celebration versions, but also more recently with tracks such as the Junior Vasquez single mix of Bedtime Story which has 171,416 streams on the FEL album but also 596,656 streams on the BS single release or the Express Yourself remix edit. There's some more examples as well. 

I guess they don't really care that much, but it's just a bit sloppy. And when you've had "don't go for second best baby" beaten into you for 30 years, accepting that sloppiness is a bit difficult.

Hopefully they hire a librarian at some point to forensically go through all of these releases to strengthen her streaming figures.

Well, I'd have to add the numbers for all 38 songs but it's, by far, her most streamed album on Spotify.

Let's keep in mind some of the songs' figures are merged with their parent albums versions, but not many of them: "Hung Up", "Music", "Papa Don't Preach", "La Isla Bonita", "Live To Tell", "Take A Bow"...

Actually, on each studio album, the songs merged in figures with "Celebration" are the biggest hits there with the highest number of streams, so most of the streams must be from "Celebration" anyway.

It's simply not a pop Xmas classic, but it has almost 10M streams now on Spotify, which is not bad - but not amazing by any means. It's included on some Xmas playlists. But it's not even on her Spotify's Top 10 now.

Kylie's "Santa Baby" is 193M! But she's got a Xmas album, Madonna's version is "hidden" in a forgotten 80s compilation album...

Keep in mind this can change at any point... for instance, this year a Spice Girls Christmas B-Side of their 1998 single "Goodbye", "Christmas Wrapping", suddenly gained traction is now her 2nd most streamed track this season and included on many key playlists. But it never happen before until this year, for some reason. So maybe same happens with Madonna's "Santa Baby" at some point.
