She has nothing left to prove anymore. If todays generation wouldn't be so tasteless, i'd worry too, but just look at the charts right now and who they give #1s.

To have Madonna still around and seeing her still enjoying making music and doing tours is actually a blessing.

Except, she does have something to prove, and that's against ageism, especially as an older woman. She's totally ignored and when she is in the paper, the comments about her are about her age and being a saggy old grandma, who should act her age. 

I want Madonna to have chart success again and give the haters a slap in the face. If you think Madonna feels like she has nothing to prove and doesn't want to be at number 1 is ludicrous.

Every other female artist in the UK gets in the charts, except Madonna, and it makes me mad 🤬

I've said it a million times but I'll say it again: "Faz Gostoso" had the potential to be HUGE with proper promotion and a music video. It did THAT totally on its own - imagine with a little push.

I've said it a million times also. Faz Gostoso is a cover from a HUGE hit in Brazil, and it features Anitta, who is a HUGE star. Not as hip as Rosalia, but she sells a lot more. So the track comes up on many playlists and algorithm suggestions.

Of course, it was the combination of all those elements what made it viral for a short period of time. But it could have been even bigger.

She was never going to release it as a single. She would have been accused of usurpation, rightfully. You don't cover such a hit so soon after its original release, it's not appropriate.

Mmhmm I don't know about that. It happens all the time - covers, I mean. She had the story of "I was living in Portugal and hearing this song all the time and I loved it" it's not like suddenly she was covering a huge Korean hit just for the sake of it. xd Plus the original writers would have been happy to make even more money from it, I guess?

She seemed to be pushing Anitta for some time on Instagram to join her in New York to shoot a video for it but she was on tour or something and it didn't happen in the end. Also, she was dead serious here:
