 She played her own stuff on Love Song or so I have heard but that is the exception rather than the rule if true. She is a mediocre instrumentalist because she has never devoted the time to become proficient on anything. She is smart enough to know this and recruits decent musicians when she needs them. Madonna is a singer and performance artist, not a musician.

I doubt it as the demo was already done by Pharell (music + lyrics). You can find the demo on Youtube i think.

I had no idea she played guitar on Falling Free. Makes sense since it's the best song on the album.
