Madonna working with Trevor Horn in the early 80's?

I was wondering if Madonna had ever considered working with Trevor Horn, even though he was mostly working with UK acts, and I found an article from 1984 claiming M's next album would be produced by Trevor Horn. Did she work with him in the end?

Interesting. It sounds like three producers were called - Trevor Horn, Nile Rodgers and Jellybean - but Rogers ended up producing the whole record.

Rodgers demanded to be the sole producer and asked (and got) 1 million $ for it. Mo Ostin said ok and that the money was gonna be taken from Madonna's cut. Seymour Stein vetoed it otherwise she would have ended broke. 

Mo Ostin (head of Warner Music in the 80's and 90's) passed a month ago. Madonna said nothing, a lot of people from Warner said nothing because he was an asshole. After Prince died he tried to pass himself as his friend and biggest supporter when he's the one whom made his life miserable at Warner.
