Again, I think what some are saying, it reminds them of a bit of songs from Hard Candy.  I don't think anyone is claiming The Weekend is doing "M's Sound". After all, Madonna has shifted in sounds over the years.  Almost album from album. A prime example would be from Confessions to Hard Candy to MDNA.  All three are pretty different from one another.

Its Pharrell’s sound, not Madonna’s. This producer is obviously influenced by that.

Love this track. Love that it's tied to an HBO series. If they don't play this then it is blatant ageism and it should be addressed. Everything that The Weekend does gets play and charts high. I will settle for nothing less than top 5.
