I love how mysterious Skin is and the production is amazing. ILNY is among the weaker tracks on Confessions so...

 

Nothing Really Matters vs Let It Will Be

Let It Will Be is such an underrated track. It's prophetic and deep. NRM is very good but IDK what it is that I feel is not as good as it could be, maybe it's too dancey?

 

Sky Fits Heaven vs Forbidden Love

I guess I have to say Sky Fits Heaven is more meaningful, even tho it's a bit heavy handed.

 

Shanti/Ashtangi vs Jump

I love Shanti but to this day I have no idea what the fuck its about. Its interesting.. but I rather listen to something more practical.

 

Frozen vs How High

Frozen is amazing, How High is meaningful but nothing beats Frozen musically.

 

The Power of Goodbye vs Isaac 

I always thought TPOG is a bit corny. Isaac is really meaningful and the production is very mysterious. It could actually fit on ROL.

 

To Have and Not to Hold vs Push

Push is not very well liked by fans, but THANTH is also a bit corny to me.

 

Little Star vs Like It or Not

I really respect Little Star for being a love letter to her daughter, but I connect more with Like it Or Not, I'm not a mom so...

 

Mer Girl vs Fighting Spirit

Fighting Spirit is not really a part of Confessions nor it should be. Cutting Superpop and this track was the right decision. Mer Girl is one of the most artistic songs I have ever heard.

 

I don't know how people can like one and dislike the other. They're both dark electronic/dance albums with a lot of personal and meaningful lyrics. Both are kabbalah heavy. It's just a different aesthetic artistically. ROL is complicated and serious while Confessions plays a bit more with a facade of frivolity and is more direct lyrically. I prefer Confessions, I feel there's something more ironic about it.
