My fave story from my videos came from Beautiful Stranger.  I liked Austin Powers as well.  So yeah as a teenager I was very pleasantly surprised to first see it.  That was overstimulating to the least for me then to see her like that.  Also I didn’t use the Internet back then so that video came out of the blue for me

Love the song.  For me, I see it as something not to take too seriously if not "tongue in cheek".  We also know Madonna doesn't shy away from mixing sexual and religious connotations.  I don't doubt people legitamelty do not like the song for whatever reason, but I have to wonder if one's personal religion or sexual opinion plays part in the reception of this song whether it's good or bad.  While some can relate, others might be appalled by it based on how they were raised or exposed to sex and religion. It may have something to do with their faith or experiences in both.  Me?  I personally am happy to know I don't put limitations on either sex or religion.  I am open to all ideas, experiences and beliefs.  I don't believe there is a wrong or right answer to sex of religion, unless it's intentionally try to harm another.  In most instances, sex and religion provoke people to be highly judgmental, whether they want to admit it or not.
