After the injuries of the Madame X tour and her being hospitalized this year I was expecting the tour to either be cancelled or for there to be cancelled shows by now. So while late starts have always been frustrating I personally am just so glad she is healthy and that everything is going so well with this tour overall. We are so so lucky to have her and have her putting on such a kick arse show. As a fan of 35 years or more I couldn’t be happier.

I don’t think the late was the only problem yesterday. I was there also, and unfortunately I have to say that people are change. Of course there was many adult people that don’t scream but just see the show. But people in general the just wanna live the experience. They make pictures and video for social medial, not really having fun in the moment. I see a lot of show of different pop artist after covid and I notice that the crowds are simply dead most of the time. They way up when they hear a famous song and go back the sleep later on. I don’t know maybe the social distance during the pandemic made people more cold less spontaneous.

Anyway the show was amazing, even if I think she wasn’t in her best yesterday. I saw her less focused and she has a problem with her microphone during die another day and miss some steps.
I don’t know if it’s true but delay was because Donatella Versace arrived with 1 h 30 minutes late. They was waiting for her for the vogue scene. I saw her entrance in the arena at 21:55

I suspect it’s to do with her health. For example, some nights she dances more than others in select songs. The movement is fairly improvised, even by the dancers at times. It’s quite interesting to compare.

This. While the show is full of detail and there are some routines and cues, etc., she's much more relaxed this time. She's finally found that balance between her old mega shows and the freedom of letting go a little bit. Which is obviously better for her cause she looks: happy. She can have more fun now.
While doing my edit I realized she changes little things every night, here and there: "Nothing Really Matters " is really never the same (plus the circle thing started to move recently again in the chorus, in previous shows it was stopped after she came out and she stayed there in the middle); little things in "Open Your Heart", "Holiday", "Hung Up", "Vogue", "La Isla"... even the "Papa Don't Preach" bed scene has changed in some shows, her head movements, and the dancer just follow and adjust to her. In older tours it would have been always the same precise movements, always.
While the base of the show is there, she's more free this time. It's refreshing and good for her - and ultimately for us! Give us more content and new things to expect

Writing my little review, as I was there at the show last night.
This was my first time seeing Madonna after my planned date for Madame X got cancelled and what a show. It was a dream come true. After a rough 2023 for me, when she came on stage at 22:05 (pretty much what I expected) singing Nothing Really Matters I bursted into tears. I couldn’t control it but after the first few minutes I managed to « keep it together ».
I was really impressed by her energy. Her moves were on point and she was in a very good mood (she tried to speak French a few times and was humble, very down to earth). And so was the crowd, who reacted really well to Hung Up (probably the highlight, everybody was so into it), Bad Girl (I was surprised to see so many people sing along), Vogue, Don’t Tell Me, Mother and Father (surprisingly as well), I Will Survive (especially when she sang in French), La Isla Bonita and the Like a Virgin/Billie Jean interlude. Her vocals were also really great. From what I could hear she seemed to be singing everything live besides Justify My Love, most of Erotica and the choruses of Everybody. The rest was sung beautifully and blended really great with the backing track when there was one. Her voice seemed in really good shape.
I was seated in Carré Or, close to the end of the catwalk, so I had a very nice view of the whole stage most of the time. I really appreciated how the screens were an important part of the performances at times. Justify My Love and Die Another Day really reflected this. The lighting effects, especially the lasers, were also amazing, Erotica, Ray of Light and once again Die Another Day being the highlights there. The staging during Like a Prayer was really well done too.
There were very few fuck ups, which actually made some cute unique moments. During Nothing Really Matters, she sang "I was the only one" way too early, and then realized when she sang the next line and stopped midway through. During Open Your Heart, the lady dancer kinda lost her balance while doing the backflip on the male dancer while on the chair, though she didn’t fall and quickly recovered. On Don’t Tell Me at the end of the song she started to sing while she was supposed to stop at that point (well don’t tell her to stop). She then realized, stopped, and smiled at the audience and then mouthed something at them, laughing.
As for the setlist I found it really great overall. The crowd didn’t seem into the beginning of the sex section though, where the mood kinda went down, probably due to the two songs not being danceable/singable enough. The Beast Within and Bedtime Story also didn’t really seem to leave an impression on the crowd, though the staging and theatrics from my point of view were actually quite good from my seat. The ending to be honest though was quite abrupt and it feels like the crowd expected one more song. The only song I really missed was Music, which from what I read was planned in a section that was later removed after she was hospitalized. I also feel like Frozen would have had more of an effect on people than Rain, though she looked beautiful during the performance. The only thing that bothered me, though that might be due to where I was seated, is that the bass was really loud. It made the speech before Holiday pretty much inaudible, and I felt like the room was about to explode at the beginning of Erotica. But that might be just me being sensitive. Also I expected Stuart Price to open the show, but he didn’t so that was a bummer, though I can’t blame anyone for that.
So AS A SUMMARY, that was an excellent show. I so wish I could be able to go a second time. I had an amazing time and now feel so weird that the show is over. I keep watching videos of the show over and over again and I just can’t stop. It makes me wanna go on a Madonna marathon all over again, which I will probably do. I would definitely recommend to everyone to watch this show in person!

I can't believe that there's no celebration tour "fan's reviews" thread! It need own thread!
    OK I will start.
Only five shows are over, but I've already collected 25GB of Madonna tour videos.

    1. Celebration tour is Madonna version of musical Hadestown.
Ok, in my opinion this tour is her version of musical Hadestown. What is about musical hadestown? It is modernized version of greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. It shows the audience how he first met her, how he falling in love with her, how she died and went to hell, and what efforts he made to go down to hell and bring her to earth, and why he ended up failing.
This Celebration tour show her life to the audience How she got to New York, how she lived her life as a New Yorker, how she made artist friends, how those friends died of AIDS, how she got over it, how she was criticized by people for her erotica albums and sex books, and how she became a mother and etc,  through her songs in musical form.

    2. Bob the drag Queen's role in Celebration tour is Same as Hermes in musical Hadestown.
Who is Hermes? He is portrayed as the narrator of musical Hadestown. Starting from the opening, he continues to appear in the middle of the play, explaining the situation easily and concisely so that the audience can easily and clearly understand the story. And Bob the drag Queen's did same thing. Some people complain that his opening is unnecessary and say this. "I don't know why he would have to explain to the audience what we already knows" But you have to realize that there aren't only people in the audience who have been her fans for 40 years like us. And you have to admit that Bob's presence makes it clear to the audience that this tour is going through Madonna's life in musical form.

    3. A touching encounter with her past own ghosts.
When I first saw a dancers wearing a strange plastic mask on their face, I wondered why she had to make the dancers wear such weird plastic mask. But I realized it soon. It's not just a homage to past performances, it's an important scene that shows Madonna meeting with herself in the past. And to distinguish clearly from the dancers who wore Madonna's iconic costumes at the end of 'bitch i'm madonna' performace, Madonna's ghosts in the past had to wear plastic masks on their faces.
Most fans often mention recreating the BAT Tour's Like a Virgin scene. But for me, the most moving scene was when past Madonna appeared in a human nature music video's costume and save herself.  It was none but herself that saved her when she was criticized by the world. How hard and lonely she must have been, I could feel her pain and loneliness in that short scene and shed tears when she danced with herself in the past while singing Crazy for You to her past ghost.

    4. A feast of fantastic lighting!
Close-up videos taken up close do not show how beautiful the lights are. If you want to feel it, you have to watch a video from a distance. She looks like she made a wall of lights out of lights, and the flashy lights make the audience feel as if they were swimming in a beautiful sea.

    5. She made a real COMEBACK.
The Queen of pop is BACK! Considering Madonna's past few years of her terrible worst moments, we can call this is a her real comeback. I watched her Madame X tour video just once and threw it into the corner. It was painful to watch and I didn't even bother to look at the Madame X tour video again. But this tour is different. Made me watch her tour videos over and over again. This proves how successful this tour is.
There is so much more to share but i will write about it later.

She is performing a veeery stylish and revisited  version of the Gurdjeff sacred dances, excercizes intended to support the awekening of the conscience and the enforcement of the prensence of the human being, in wich different parts of the body have to move in asynchronous way.

    The symbols:
    Three of life
    Star of David
    Hexagram in a circle
    Heptagram in a circle
9 light circles with eleven dancers in the form of the lower sephiroths
She’s in the middle of all this sacred geometry forming around her with it’s own meaning a coincidence no I don’t think so…
The most surprising stuff for me is her quoting Gourdjieff, to those who hasn’t heard from him or read any of his propositions, he together with Peter Demianovich Ouspensky proposed the 4th path. Sorry if that’s not the English name as I read their work in Russian (jk 🤣) and they have a very interesting proposition on the development of the human being.
Coincidence in DAD performance, I don’t think so again
