Rock music was extremely sexist and misogynistic at that time, and remains so to a degree. Madonna was a pop sensation and phenomenon in full force, but what these people fail to communicate is that Live Aid made Madonna a rock star. Her performance style was so uniquely charismatic that she left them ALL in the dust. Her performance is considered as important as Queen’s at Wembley. These are the two sets that people will always refer back to when discussing Live Aid. Madonna owned everything that day, and from the video we’ve seen of her backstage prepping for her performance and barely acknowledging Bette Midler, I’d say she was mostly focused on being the best, and not how she could hang with Tom Petty. That sounds like a Sean thing to me.
When Madonna has something to prove, she always delivers beyond anyone’s expectations.

It's human nature. Ego's a bitch and makes superiority complex an entire personality.
On the other side of things, M's still making headlines and working her ass off beyond the expectancy of a [female] popstar while everyone retires and lays back with gaping mouths for royalties and then time to time, recall how they met or had their moments with M.
And they said we wouldn't last...but we're still here muthafuckas.

They didn’t understand her. She was flaunting her sexuality unashamedly and they didn’t know how to interpret that. They wanted to believe she was talentless and a one hit wonder because what she was doing went against their idea of what a serious female artist should do or be.
I think her voice was part of it but even then, if she’d had this big powerful voice I think they’d still have reacted similarly. For a lot of people the voice was just an excuse to write her off imo.

I get that people in the entertainment gave her a really hard time during the 1985 year. The "We are the world" affair, the backstage at "Live Aid"... From my perspective i explain it by the fact 1985 was a pivotal year for Madonna. She was evolving from 'newbie of the moment" to 'major worldwide superstar' and she wasn't the typical diva with a voice that were respected a la Tina, Barbara or Diana. All those established super famous singer were annoyed by that girl who was starting to eat her part of their cake.

I think people dont know what overproduced means.
Rebel Heart is actually under-produced... yes.. there's a lot of songs and features, but the actual production is really bare on a lot of songs, it starts to sound like a demo.
Confessions is incredibly over-produced and so is Hard Candy. Confessions more so, compressed, too many limiters and tracks on the songs making them sound very artificial and not dynamic. Sooo over-compressed.
Confessions is often hard to listen to for me because of how overproduced it is.

American Life and Madame X aren't overproduced, they have very specific stylistic choices.

Guys the “overproduced” term is problematic I even had to google it to try and give you a right response
For me none is overproduced but one is terrible unfinished, rough not polished enough and that’s MDNA but even that album sounded good the other day. So I don’t know anything 😨😨😨

Is this anyone else top 10 or even top 5 Madonna songs?

It has deep nostalgia listening to this for me but still sounds fresh. I love it. As of right now it's defiantly one of my favorite M songs

Is bad manners a generational thing, or are you just under the impression you're owed more than the air you breathe?
No, he won't leak it, nor should he. And instead of ordering people around, maybe offer him something in return - or just politeness - that would be a start.
I'm not surprised if the guy decided to walk away and fuck off with his tape and decided to sell it privately to someone to avoid vultures and rude knobs.

    Oh please.
Rehashing a nearly 10 year old story because notorious shit-stirrer Andy Cohen is a fucking messy queen who loves anyone and everyone talking shit on his tired-ass show for a headline is old news unto itself. Even when it comes to the people he likes, or loves - esp. Madonna. Who cares if he's a fan, the man lives for folks talking shit about her for a headline. It's why she doesn't fuck with him... and will never do his show. And he knows it.
So she didn't like Hamilton. Shocker. Honestly, I kind of love her for that.
And these theater queens keep changing the story - first it was her iphone, now it's an ipad. What's next?
And as someone who LOVES musical theater - fuck Hamilton. Girl was probably bored out of her mind with that cheesy-ass show (and Lin's utterly atrocious talk-sing writing he likes to think of as music, let alone Hip-Hop).
    Good for her.
