But Madonna cut an unusually demure figure as she jetted into New York City on Saturday. 
The 55-year-old singer sported an all-black ensemble that consisted of a blazer, ripped trousers, and a pair of matching platform shoes for her arrival with daughter Mercy.
 

 
Madonna was likely returning from a trip to Mali where she posted several Instagram shots showing construction of a school in the west African country.
The Like A Virgin hitmaker gently held onto her daughter's hand as they strolled through JFK airport alongside what appeared to be their ever-present entourage.
The singer appeared to have travelled lightly with a black purse and beige guitar case, while a belt with golden studs added a touch of glam to her outfit. 
Madonna's adopted daughter Mercy James clasped her mother's hand and kept comfortable in a floral print white tank top and black trousers.
 

 
On Saturday, Madonna took to Instagram to document an up-and-coming secondary school in Mali. 
Madonna's organization, the Ray Of Light Foundation, has teamed up with buildON to build a secondary school in Mali, the Ray Of Light website states. 
The mother-of-four's Instagram snaps proudly shared the efforts, which captured both an image of the secondary school, along with a photo of two smiling women assisting in the construction of the building.

I think it's great she is doing this art for freedom thing.
In fact, more celebs should do more for tolerance in this world, against fascism of any type.
It may not be entertaining enough for some, but the world really needs this.
Just look around, read what's going on.
Fascist tendencies are gaining momentum, worldwide.
I totally applaud Madonna for at least trying to achieve more awareness.
Not enough people get off their laid-back consumer asses to do something.
I am counting myself in.

I've always thought the only way she could make a big impact as she used to in the past is by releasing an album with music that is so artsy and totally unexpected from her, that varies from sound to sound (take Bedtime Story for example), an album that really proves she's the writer of the lyrics and the one who plays at least one instrument... But sadly, truth is the opposite. We already know her new album will be invaded by tons of people and probably will be just another EDM record for the masses to enjoy til someone younger appears. It's just like Britney Spears, the gp does not think Madonna creates her own music.

It's funny how the media thinks they always know who she is dating. Couldn't it be she was just out with a friend? And even is she's been seen with this guy several times, it still could be that he's just a friend or maybe they are working on new dances together for new projects.
 
Also, I've never thought Madonna to be about just having "flings". I think she is deeper than that. 
 
Anyway, I could care less who she dates either. As long as she is happy, is all that matters.
