I find it funny seeing comments about the RIT leak being 'shitty', to me it's a great rough professional recording, and without it's leak we'd still be holding to the short-ass IGTTYAS videos and incomplete audio and being like "Oh how I wish a pro-shot would leak!!!!". SMH

She'll have edited it before her death and add in Spanish Lesson and Candy Shop to both setlists and with a new cover designed by Aldo Diaz and mixed with fan footage, news pro shot footage every second most likely.

Forums are meant for discussion and engaging about Madonna, her career, projects, music, tours etc as long as it doesn't break forum rules which no one on this thread has done. Whether you agree or disagree with the topic at hand, it doesn't mean discussions should be locked because it "annoys" you.

I do think RIT and BAT will be released at some point in some capacity officially but it'll be an anniversary or posthumous release.

I think the subject has been discussed to death and nothing's gonna happen at this point but lmao. Why should music fans care about a skin care product line? What does RHT have to do with her old tours? Does that mean her old stuff doesn't matter anymore? What does a couple of problematic fans blasting her weight have to do with this thread?   damn sis. I get the frustration but chill...

There's so many theories about why this release was scrapped.

It could be she didn't want two separate releases competing against each other. The CBS deal (rumored for the longest) was supposed to air the concert until Madonna declined when she couldn't have it aired commercial free. The documentary probably had some rights or provisions that a similar release couldn't compete with it. Because if you had the choice, the full RIT concert or select performance + documentary? No brainer here.

There's also the rumor she didn't like the footage in the way it was shot (Lisbon if it was indeed to be used) as it seems like screen footage than the way her tours are normally filmed. The documentary also came around the time of the Confessions era which at this point, she probably wanted to focus on her new material and tour rather than the previous one.

The best case scenario would be at some point, a deluxe boxset on BR/DVD of her tours or some anniversary package where I could see her and her team selling it to the public. You'd have Virgin Tour, Blond Ambition and RIT finally on a DVD/BR release so that'd be one of their selling points as one remains unreleased commercially and the other two were released on VHS/LD. She seems rather fond of looking back now on her legacy now so if somewhere down the road, we hear of a release who knows?

This is such a fascinating thread to read. So many things that could've been that never were. I think Madonna should do an international tour of Tears Of A Clown and differentiate the setlist every night so that she'd be able to perform songs she's never performed live before or songs that only got the live treatment a handful of times.

I still can't believe Nothing Really Matters has never made a tour.

Regarding the MDNA Tour, Some Girls has been considered instead of I Don't Give A.

There have been a lot of reports about songs being rehearsed for some of her tours that ended up being dropped or replaced in the end. I don't know if this topic already exists but let's discuss.
 
The Virgin Tour would originally have concerts in Europe and Asia and have Love Don't Live Here Anymore as a performance, as well as Physical Attraction
 
The Girlie Show would have True Blue as an Interlude after Rain, Live to Tell instead of I'm Going Bananas and Bad Girl instead of In This Life. Words was also rumored to be inclused on the setlist
 
Drowned World Tour would have I Want You instead of Lo Que Siente la Mujer (according to her choreographer) and Amazing instead of either Beautiful Stranger or The Funny Song, Swim instead of Frozen and Nothing Really Matters (parts of the choreo were later used for Nobody Knows Me)
 
Re-Invention Tour would have I'm So Stupid, Take a Bow, Ray of Light and Dress You Up, a ballad version of Devil Wouldn't Recognize You (which was written for her musical "Hello Suckers" on which she was working on in 2003) and also I Love New York (which was also the final track on IGTTYAS)
 
Confessions Tour would have Everybody instead of La Isla Bonita
 
Sticky & Sweet Tour would have Impressive Instand / Burning Up Medley as an Interlude OR as a performance instead of Like A Prayer. Also Open Your Heart was rehearsed for the Gypsy section
 
MDNA Tour would have Falling Free as an Interlude instead of Justify My Love, Some Girls instead of Vogue and Physical Attraction as a performance
 
Rebel Heart Tour would have Hold Tight in the first section, Like A Prayer or Ray of Light instead of Burning Up and Justify My Love / Whole Lotta Love Medley on the guitar. Bitch I'm Madonna was originally the last performance of the show
