For me, probably "MDNA" and "Bedtime Stories." I like exactly two songs from each album, and that's it.

I mean....tea. But old queens bought the 80's vinyls first time round so whats the point. Special editions then yes.
Its the younger new gen of record buying cigs that are looking for Ray Of Light/ American Life / Confessions on vinyl to be honest.

Well, I compared the 7" Remix, the Remix/Edit, and the Non-Stop Express Mix in an audio editor, and they're digitally identical to the original promo CD... they cancel out perfectly if you do the "null test."
This involves getting two audio files exactly in sync in an audio editor and then phase inverting one of the files. Whatever sound you can then hear is what is different between the two tracks. The three tracks mentioned above resulted in complete silence after the phase inversion, which means they are bit-for-bit the identical masterings that are on the promo CD.
The Local Mix from the promo and Stop & Go Dubs from "Remixed Prayers" did not cancel out with the digital files, so they are not the exact same masterings that are on those CDs.
So I guess the answer to your question is: the audio quality is the same as the old promo CD.

What exactly do you propose. It’s a simple upload of an 80’s song. With all commercially released mixes of the time and a promo mix.
We’re not reinventing the wheel here hen. It’s just about making her stuff accessible to a new generation who weren’t around for the vinyl generation, the CD generation or even  the download generation. Young people stream… end of. It’s not negotiable. If a young person wants to check out a bit of Madonna they’re not going on discogs to search out some promo cd from some old queens top shelf in Belgium who is selling his collection to fund a gay weekend in Sitges for his 50th birthday.
Clue being… this isn’t really for us… but feel free to get involved if you want. Madonna has your coins from first time round. So essentially you are dead to her. She’s coming for young blood and new coins ready for the biopic upsurge. Get into it hen.

It's better than they're not remastered/touched/whatever. It would be just a volume boost or worse, a "Celebration" type of affair.
Better to leave the original sound as it is, I think.

Collectors want the physical product - to be fair the Remix Edit has been available on the internet illegally for 20 years so don't expect the value of the promo cd to drop

The 7” Remix is so much fuller sounding, has a few more elements such as a reverb on her vocal and a much bigger bass sound. The album version sounds thin, almost like a demo in comparison.

Such a shame they didn't put the video edits on there, both the original video mix and the Local Mix edit that was used on The Immaculate Collection video.  I'll buy it to support the program, but I've had all these mixes on CD for many, many years.

I'll be honest. I don't usually cry about sources because Im a messy gossip bitch who lives for the drama ,but the info on these has been sketchy as fuck on these boards. We've had members absolutely certain, highly likely, informed, heard that...etc.,... that LDLHA / Ray Of Light / Fever /American Life / Nothing Really Matters are coming ....and then we get WIFLFAG, Express Yourself and Like A Prayer.
I'm even beginning to think that the LDLHA and FEVER screengrabs from the databased were mock ups made by that kind of fan.

So imma sit over here with my cereal and eat it nicely and just be surprised cause Julian Assange ya'll aint.

I don't really stream most of the time. I have a huge physical and lossless digital music collection (I estimate I own at minimum 10,000 CDs, if you include CD singles), so I don't really have the need to stream.  I don't like not owning my music. But I think it's great that Apple is finally embracing lossless streaming. Hopefully they will sell lossless downloads as well.

Interesting. I remember in the late '80s some import 5-inch CD singles actually fading the songs out early to accommodate a 20-minute running time. (Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" is one I can think of.)  I always thought it was because 3-inch CD singles could only hold 20 minutes of music, and the record companies would just make one master to use for all the European countries that could be used on both 3-inch and five-inch singles. But maybe the real reason was something to do with chart rules.

2 (or even 3 in some cases) CD singles back in the day was greed from the companies, yeah, but also because of the rules of the charts, especially in the UK.
If I remember well, from 1997 or 1998, CD singles above 20 minutes in total were not considered for the UK singles charts. So if you have, let's say, 2 b-sides and 3 remixes, most artists released a b-sides single (CD 1) and a remixes single (CD 2) - and that way they managed to count 2 copies sold for the charts.
If the remixes were long, within the 20 minutes rule you could only fit the regular version and 2 remixes.
It was much harder back then to get a Top 5 or even #1 position with just one CD single than artists who released two versions.

    I still buy my music.
    Ideally from an artist’s bandcamp.
Artists Dont make money off of streaming, so them going lossless wont change anything for me.
Streaming is practical, but it’s basically legitimized illegally downloading music.
