Future Lover got a reaction from Enrico in Rebel Heart Tour DVD | Showtime Premiere
I recently got talking with a Madonna fan and she supplied me with some info on a tour DVD! She arrived to the venue early (for early entry) and when she got inside the arena, she was approached by a man with a large camera. He asked her "Would you consent to being filmed for a home video release?" She said yes, signed a piece of paper and talked about Madonna for a few minutes, She then asked him, "Is the DVD being made here?" His answer? "Parts. The DVD is being filmed around the world, however the MAIN show for the DVD will be shot in 2016. It will be where most of the footage is from, but some will be from other shows."

So this says that the tours main show is being done in 2016 and it also hints at some interesting behind the scenes footage.

Future Lover got a reaction from Stevo in My Thought on the Meaning of Live to Tell
Here, I am going to break down the song and display my belief on the meaning of the song. Comment your thoughts as well!

I have a tale to tell. Sometimes it gets so hard to hide it well.- She has a secret that she has been keeping and is finding it increasingly more difficult to stay quiet. It is causing her to become depressed.

I was not ready for the fall- She was unprepared for the pain keeping the secret would cause.

Too blind to see the writing on the wall- She keeps the secret to protect the one she loves, but she has become blind to what he is doing is wrong.

A man can tell a thousand lies. I learned my lesson well.- She knows that if she tries to say anything, he will lie to get out of it and only hurt her worse.

If I Live to Tell the secret I have learned. 'Till then, it will burn inside of me.- She worried that she'll die before she can tell her secret. But she knows that death is the only way the secret will be reveled.

I know where beauty lives. I've seen it once, I know the warm she gives.- She knows what love truly is and she knows she's had it before and she knows that it brings happiness.

The light that you could never see. It shines inside, you can't take that from me.- She still feels love and forgiveness in her heart and she knows that no matter what he does, he can't take the love from her heart.

The truth is never far behind. You kept it hidden well.- The truth of what he is doing to her is starting to come out by itself. She knows that he has kept it hidden very well through time.

If I live to tell the secret I knew then, will I ever have the chance again?- She wonders that if she doesn't say anything before she dies, will she ever expose what he's done? The depression that he is causing is getting worse and her happiness is dwindling.

If I ran away, I'd never have the strength, to go very far.- She is contemplating suicide, but she knows that she can never bring herself to do it, as it will mean he wins.

How will they hear the beating of my heart?- If she dies, no one will ever know what he has done to her.

Will it grow cold? The secret that I hide when I grow old?- She wonders if she just waits, the pain will go away with time.

How will they hear? When will they learn? How will they know?- She knows that she is the only one that can save herself, so she resolves to stay alive to save herself.

    WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!

i think the song was written thinly about her relationship with Sean Penn. We know he abused her as per a police report. I think the song was her way of airing her sadness and frustration.

Future Lover got a reaction from VanP92 in How Oh Father saved My Life!
My story from the last seven years is rocky and very troubled. It started really before seven years when my Dad got his first job since my birth. After work, him and friends would go to the bar. One of his female coworkers slipped things in his drinks and had sex with him. Eventually...it didn't take drugging and he entered a sober affair. Mom found out and there was constant fighting. I was only 5 at the time and I would listen to my parents fight all night. Dad eventually left for three days but came back for my sake. It was quiet for a year. Then one day, Dad passed out on the couch. They rushed him to the ER and he died twice but they shocked his heart back. The hospital ended making a critical mistake causing him to lose his right leg. He was in the hospital and rehabilitation center for a total of 18 months. I saw him 4 times over the course of that time. Little did I know, the father I really grew up to know died in the hospital and was replaced by the man who lives here now. He came home and naturally there was a lot of pain medications for everything. He became addicted to the meds. He is a drug addict now...addicted to those meds. He has repeatedly chosen the meds over us. He and Mom argue more often and violent then ever now. Dad has hit Mom. Dad has come at Mom with a knife. I have suffered strong emotional abuse from him. And it has led me to intense depression. I have became more and more depressed. I self harmed a few times and...I contemplated suicide so much last year. Tried it last year.  I am terrified of losing people. I honestly feel like a burden to people.

The song Oh Father just showed me that someone understood missing love from a parent. That there was someone out there who felt this way to. The song feels like it spoke to me, like it was saying "You are going to be okay. It'll be okay." It stopped me from suicide. I love this song.

I know that this is pretty stupid and a dumb reason to love a song, but it is so special to me.

    Love you all!!

I agree with you in all the albums, i'll just add something: Confessions is the best album made by a popstar in HISTORY. It's not just Hung Up and all the success it had, the album's songs are all perfectly mixed, the production and musical direction is perfect, but there's something wrong, why did Madonna release that shitty video for Get Together?

    13. Hard Candy

I was really exited for this record when it was just about to come out. I picked up a copy of the album the first day that it was out and listened to it the instant that I got home. I was really pumped as I had fallen in love with "4 Minutes" and couldn't wait to hear what else the album had to offer. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. There are only three songs on the album that I like and they are "4 Minutes", "She's Not Me", and "Candy Shop". As whole, the record seemed very bland and I-have-heard-this-before type album. It seemed too like all the other pop records out at the time. I don't even think Britney would accept some of the tracks on this album.

    12. Bedtime Stories

I try so hard to love this record but I just can't. I don't know why but it just bores me and I dread really any song from this album besides "Human Nature". The tittle track is my least favorite on the album just because it's just so odd and un-Madonna. I know a lot of people love this record, and I really do try to love it but I just don't. This was the second of the four "Madonna Experimentation Albums" (Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light and Music) and it just really fell short in this album. It doesn't feel like a Madonna album to me.

    11. Madonna

This is album is fun, I won't deny that. But it's a first album. And stacked up against her later work, this album just feels so under polished and like it was just not really loved and cared for. I know that it was a lot on the recording studio for the lack of faith in the album, but I still feel like, even for the people that did really care about it, like Madonna, it wasn't fought for to be better.

    10. Erotica

This album is a middle layer for me. It is so mixed in it's quality that it's almost like a surprise when you get a good song and a surprise when you get a bad one. This album is undeniably a concept record and and I fee it is interesting to see Madonna's vision of that. My favorite track on the album is "Bye Bye Baby". When this album is brilliant, it's really brilliant. But, when it's iffy, it's really iffy. There isn't much to say on the record other than it's just a little overwhelming and underwhelming all at once.

    9. Like a Virgin

You may love this album. But there is one thing that you cannot deny. IT HAS NEVER BEEN AS GOOD AS IT WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT YOU HEARD IT. When I first heard the album, it easily was my number one Madonna record. But the more I listen, the more and more the novelty wears off. Once you get past "Like a Virgin", "Material Girl", and "Dress You Up", you have an iffy pop record. I still love it, no doubt, but the tracks are so bland in some places and her voice and style had yet to be fully landed.

    8. MDNA

I don't hate this record as much as everyone else does. I actually like the songs and I think that Madonna was intentionally trying to make them sound modern pop to show that she can make shit music enjoyable and that she was trying to poke fun at the modern pop divas. However, I do agree that it became a little old by the time the record was over. My favorite album track on this one is shockingly "Gang Bang" because I think Madonna is so sexy sounding. And I'll be honest. I'm GAY but I would GO STRAIGHT FOR MADONNA and it's mainly because of how sexy she sounds on this whole album and "Confessions". The album I feel is finely crafted and is no where near as bad as some people say it is. But I do agree, there was a lot of room for improvement.

    7. Music

I have said it before and I'll say it again. I don't like Madonna singing country. This album was the last of the "Madonna Experimentation Albums" (Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light, Music) and it is the most diverse of the four. The record starts very pop with "Music" but "Don't Tell Me" cowboy territory territory just really bothers me more than it probably should. Had Music and American Life been flip flopped, I think both albums would look MUCH better because, I have always felt American Life was musically a prequel to Music. Where American Life ended I feel Music began and had they been flip flopped, I think it would have done both more due justice.

    6. Rebel Heart

I was nervous going into this record. Hard Candy and MDNA had beed questionable so I just felt uneasy going into it. But, this album is really good and entertaining. "Ghosttown" is just...words cannot express how much this song is just so Madonna and the best song that she has released since the last Confessions single. I love record and was shocked at to how good it was. That's not to say it doesn't have faults. Bitch I'm Madonna...is out there.

    5. True Blue

You may assume that since I put this one at number five that I don't like it. That isn't true. Just compared to the next four records on this list, it just can't really match up. This album is classic Madonna and is the first album that I feel Madonna finally found her footing and got to take complete control of the record. My favorite track on the album is "Live to Tell", but I really do love the whole record. The album is very well put together and exceptionally produced. The only flaw in the album is that all of the tracks are so very different and so great that there isn't one track that really gets to stand out as the albums true jewel.

    4. American Life

This album is amazing and I don't understand why people hated on it so much. The album was Madonna's second concept record (in my opinion) and it worked so much better than the previous. The album is a stunning view at the post-9/11 world that it was a product of. The albums stand out is "American Life" because it is so accurate when it comes to looking at the american world. The album is very well produced and the amount of work that was obviously but into it really makes it sound crisp and amazing. The only problem with the record is it's short length. It is just a little less than 45 minutes long, and I feel that the album should have been longer for the full punch of the subject matter.

    3. Ray of Light

The third of the "Madonna Experimentation Albums" (Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light, and Music) is the best of the four. The albums crispness and ultra trance like sound just added so much to Madonna's catalogue. My favorite song on this album is "Ray of Light" just for the simple fact of it was Madonna's return to the throne of the Queen of Pop. The record had such a tight mixing that it all felt like one big story being told through her beautiful voice. The only problem I can find on the album is that it's slower songs seem to dominate over the faster songs, which isn't all bad but a little boring in certain sections.

    2. Like a Prayer

Perhaps Madonna's most iconic record, this album offers so much to Madonna fans. The albums complete and utter stand out record is "Oh Father". The track just shoes so much of Madonna's vocal range and her song writing ability. The record has so much in it's runtime that it offered so much to Madonna's fans and her catalogue. There is nothing really wrong with the record besides it middle section being a little overly bombastic, but I can live with this and it doesn't hurt the quality.

    1. Confessions on a Dance Floor

This album is perfection. The flow of the record, each song flowing into the next, is just perfection. The whole record is just complete and utter and perfection. The way the album was produced created the tightest sounding album in Madonna's discography. My favorite song on the album is "Future Lovers" and it is the stand out by very little because of how perfect every song on the record is. The album has Madonna's best vocals, the best written songs, the grandest musical arrangement and the best of the best of Madonna's power and her pale as the queen. The ONLY problem with the record is that it runs so tight and polished that it sounds mildly robotic at some points.

So, in this thread, I want to do something fun. We all know that Madonna never toured for Bedtime Stories and Ray of Light, so I think that it would be cool to pick one of these or both and create what we thought would have been a great show for these albums!

    Concert Synopsis

    Act 1: Vanity

The show begins with a video introduction showing a mass of people on their knees apparently praying to a statue of a chiseled goddess. The statue cracks in half and red blood flows over the mass, leaving them all the same skin color and all with the same face. The dancers come on stage from the crowd as Madonna is lowered onto the stage from a circular platform. "Frozen" performed with Madonna on the platform hovering singing into a headset microphone above the dancers doing synchronized routines. At the end of the song, the platform reaches the stage floor and Madonna is encased by the dancers. They break apart and Madonna literally strikes a pose. "Vogue" is performed with Madonna and her dancers recreating the choreography from the video. The song ends with the stage being engulfed in light and then total darkness. In the darkness, thunder and falling rain is heard and lightning flashes on the screen. A hole opens in the middle of the stage and a wall of water falls from above into the hole in the stage as Madonna performs "Rain" while singing into a vintage microphone. The song ends with the water wall disappearing and Madonna standing alone in a column of light. The opening to "Justify My Love" begins and Madonna falls to the floor. She writhes around on the stage in the single column of light until the song ends. At the songs conclusion, Madonna is lowered beneath the stage and the stage again becomes dark.

    Act 2: Envy

The next section begins with a video interlude. The video shows a man leaving his bed with what appears to be his wife. He drives away and to another home where he meets and begins passionately kissing Madonna. The wife appears and shoots the man in the back and she and Madonna walk away holding hands. Madonna is raised on stage playing a guitar. She performs "Candy Perfume Girl" while dancers cover all sides of the stage in various routines. At the end of the song, Madonna speaks to the crowd before performing "Bedtime Story". During the performance, Madonna interacts with dancers dressed as various fairy tale characters such as Cinderella and the Big Bad Wolf. At the end of the performance, the stage becomes dark as the opening of "Sky Fits Heaven" plays. During the performance, the screen above splits apart and one section lowers down to stage level. The screen raises after a few seconds with various dancers dressed as angels hanging from the screen. At the end of the song, the dancers are lowered down into a large hole in the stage. Madonna is raised on the stage atop a grand piano being played by a man in solid black mask and only underwear. She performs "Little Star" with only piano accompaniment. At the end of song, Madonna kicks the piano player away from the piano as it is lowered down below the stage. She performs a medley of "Into the Groove/Dress You Up" while her and her dancers energetically romp around the stage. The performance ends with Madonna and the dancers jumping into the hole in the stage as sparks shoot from around the stage.

    Act 3: Tradition

A video interlude begins showing Madonna writhing in agony in a church confessional. The screen goes black as a church confessional missing a wall is raised on stage. Madonna performs "Like a Prayer" while inside the confessional. When the choir part begins, she leaves the confessional and performs with her dancers center stage. The stage goes dark at the end of the performance. The beginning to "Oh Father" plays and Madonna plays the song while a male dancer carries her around the stage. At the end of the song, he drops her and she lays on the stage floor. Madonna performs "Swim" while a video plays showing Madonna basking alone in the middle of a calm ocean. On the stage, she and two male dancers lay on each other through the song. Next, Madonna performs "Mer Girl". During the performance, empty gold portrait flames are lowered from the rafters with dancers in them. Madonna interacts with the dancers in the portraits. At the end of the song, all of the portraits besides one raise back up. One dips into the hole in the stage. Madonna gets inside of it and it begins to raise. "Live to Tell" is performed with Madonna in the frame and large white sheet hangs connected from the bottom showing the music video sing along with the live performance. At the end of the song, the frame is raised back into the screen with Madonna inside as the sheet falls from the frame.

    Act 4: Millennium

The next section begins with a video showing a New Years Eve countdown with a room full of people in solid white masks besides Madonna. The screen as a whole lowers down and covers the stage. "Skin" is performed with the screen becoming see through and showing Madonna and the dancers literally inside the screen. The screen raises a little over the stage and begins to slowly rotate clockwise until the song ends. The screen lowers down to stage level as "The Power of Goodbye" begins. The screen raises back to its place. Large pillars are lowered down and Madonna and her dancers "hide" from each other through the pillars. At the end of the song, a ladder is lowered down as the pillars are raised. "Human Nature" is performed with Madonna and the dancers climbing the ladder before jumping off. The song ends with Madonna holding her stomach as if she is entering labor. "Papa Don't Preach" is played with Madonna and her dancers energetically dancing around the stage. Madonna and the dancers lower below the stage. They are raised on stage again with Madonna in silver recreation of the cone bra ensemble. "Open Your Heart" is performed with cabaret style choreography. The performance ends with Madonna and the dancers "running away" as they did in the video.

    Act 5: Faithfulness

The final section begins with a video showing Madonna on a throne being surrounded by half naked sweaty men. A cage is lowered from above with several dancers hanging off of it. Madonna is raised on stage and "Ray of Light" is performed with Madonna and the dancers climbing all over the cage on stage level. The song ends with the cage raising back into the screen leaving Madonna and the dancers behind. Madonna performs "Drowned World/Substitute for Love" alone on the stage, roaming. At the end of the song, a spanish guitar intro is played and then an energetic latin samba version of "La Isla Bonita" is played. Madonna ends the performance by bowing and then being lowered below the stage. The screen lowers and encases the stage, reading the end on the screens in old time 1930's movie lettering.
