I think it’s Funny how some people Define an artist’s success only if younger people listen to said artist.
Who the fuck cares what the kids are into?!
Madonna is beyond charts, beyond success or failure. Beyond Hits.
I dont need “the kids” or “the general public” (another word I despise) to like her.
When Lady Gaga or Ariana or Beyonce reach 60 theyll understand.
In the meantime, im just happy Madonna is still making music.

Her recent attitude is not helping her... people are not interested in her like they used to be... ?

My only choice.
Great actress too and if she nails the accent and attitude she'd be utterly perfect. She might need to train a bit to get the physicality right but for early Madonna and True Blue onward Madonna she's spot on. If you're going to emulate peak sexy symbol Madonna of the Virgin era she'd need to be padded to look curvier. The actress needs to be smoking hot during this era. The sex symbol part of Madonna is pivitol to her star power. Without it the business and performance element to her 80's incarnation isn't as powerful. Her aggressive sexual agency is part of her power and energy. Also the fact that her biggest role so far is in Stranger Things, the era of Madonnas peak powers and rise to fame feels serendipitous.

The last thing we need is a Madonna biopic that makes her look like an 80s fad. The woman had hits for 3 decades. Whatever they do, they need to be clear about her resilience and the fact she's been here for a long time and still going.

She uses the icons of a clapperboard and a film camera. As she will hardly spread out her whole private life for the whole world, a fictionalized biopic is more likely. Something like Rocketman seems obvious.

Warner absolutely aced the single choices on every one of the albums they did for her apart from American Life.
The messy single choices from her Interscope days will forever haunt me. 
 
I’m positive Madonna made her interscope single choices and she rarely got them right. The last ten years have been painful. The irony is she left Warner over repeated single choice arguments and video budgets. Let’s hope the same arguments don’t resurface or that she concedes the the fact that she doesn’t always know what’s best to market her. 
 

It's more than that. Madonna took Warner for granted sometimes and Warner perhaps underappreciated Madonna, too. There were well documented struggles with Maverick, which was her venture, and she no doubt bankrolled quite a lot of warners company. 
We can now painfully identify what she gave up a dozen years ago, but we now know that the music industry has shifted more toward the live experience (and away from the music) in the course of those years. The fact that Madonna went with the company whose priority was in the live performance aspect (Live Nation) shows that she knew the way to succeed as an artist in the current environment. And there’s something to be said, too, about the breach of the agreement, it was a 360 deal, and they promised her the music distribution channel, which they ultimately failed to deliver, as they outsourced that bit (and never measured up for her, because Interscope had no real incentive to deploy their full arsenal of resources for her)
Not saying she made “the best” decision, and i'm also not saying her recording career hasn’t suffered loss owing to that choice. But we also wouldn’t know what touring would have looked like for her if she had stayed at Warner — it’s possible she may not have been able to do all she wanted on stage, to the quality and scale she wanted to, had she not had the Live Nation resources. Who can say at this point apart from the woman herself?
The only question I want answered now is, can she recover any lost ground in terms of the legacy/back catalogue now? It is clear the charts/hits-chasing will end — perhaps she'll get one more lightning strike, but unlikely. Hopefully she can continue to create what she wants in the future and still celebrate the beloved projects of the past which fans would love to revisit (or fully discover for the first time, in some cases). Having some maxi singles uploaded to streaming is a step in the right direction

We’re well over due a compilation. I do think the live albums have sorted filled that void for her though. But they’re shite these days. 

Madonna needs some good PR better than any pop star I can think of. Ok Maybe Kanye. Her legacy is something she should trade on to bolster her new era. 
 
We don’t need Confessions 2 but we do need some of that cutting fresh fun Music era energy desperately. 

Now WB just needs to fire Guy Oseary and have a PR team take complete control of her social media and we'll be good to go!

I think that it's possible that the person who uploads her videos to youtube could be around here trying to find videos in low quality to upload them to her channel.

That would mean she or her team would actually know what her fans want and have been wanting - for years...and actually giving zero f’s about it ?

I use Spotify a lot, especially when I go for a walk. At home there's my CD collection and audio rips stored in my computer

I think the biggest problem with Madonna is the bad organization of her catalogue. In Youtube her videos used to were blocked in a lot of contries (I don't remember exactly when but maybe a year o two ago they unblocked them) so to wacht them I used to go to unnofficial channels. Also some of them are duplicated because of Madonna's and Warner's channels (La Isla Bonita for example, there's two official videos, one with 97M and other with 126M views). Also, the bad quality of some videos is another problem. So that is the principal mess with her streaming numbers. They should really do a cleaning and organizate better her material. 
Her spotify page is also a mess, wrong tags on the albums and wrong versions of some songs, and the fact that they don't have any maxi singles from 1984 to 2005 uploaded.

It could be possible that this marks a comeback to Madonna? I mean, a come back to work with Stuart Price again, Levitating was produced by him.
