I agree, I believe this will still be released. Clearly the reason for the delay is the fact that they have chosen to go with Veronica Electronica first. I can see this coming out in October.

It states NEWLY EDITED VERSIONS because that’s exactly what they are. They have been created especially for this release. It may not be the original remixer who has created the edit, but they certainly won’t be fan created edits! It may be Stuart Price. It would make sense as she is working with him at the moment.

I agree it’s confusing the way it has been worded. Perhaps that’s what has caused the delay, they have rearranged the track list?

You’re contradicting yourself, bub. You say you don’t have any news about the release, but you seem to know what is and isn’t going to make the cut?!

I would imagine they will have been remastered and cleaned up to sound the best that they can.

According to Inside the Groove Instagram, he said he thinks the announcement should be coming this week with a release date of the first week in June! I know this is not “official”, but he seems to know his stuff. He noted that he has just been sent the “official track list” so I would imagine we’re getting it pretty soon. Fingers crossed.

Hmmm…not a good sign. It looks like that was an old link set up back when preorders were going to be announced. If anything was coming, they wouldn’t have deleted it. Perhaps they have seen that the link has been posted here and they have now deleted it.

I’m paying it no mind until something official is announced. We’ve been edged enough.

So it’s now officially 7 months since the first official teaser. “We’ve got a secret, check back soon to find out more” - October “Pre-orders coming soon” - February. Every week that has gone by I have had hope for it all to be unveiled, but I give up.

But one could argue that it was teased by Madonna herself, which would class as official.

I understand what you are saying, but she posted the caption “pre orders coming soon” on the February post. From my point of view, it made it look as though the release was ready to go and fans expected the pre orders to go live within a couple of weeks, not months! It’s not standard practice to tease a product with that sort of caption and then have radio silence ever since. I completely understand why fans are disappointed. It’s been four years since the initial press release promising deluxe editions of her albums, and now when we finally get something teased, we end up waiting, again. It’s very frustrating.

Gosh have some respect, man. 2Pac is a legend. He was named by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest artists of all time. LOTS of people would be stoked about the duet being officially remastered and released. I could imagine this being released as a single to promote the set.
